life

we did a science experiment yesterday. we were studying neptune and uranus.  the experiment was to find out how and why clouds, storms are formed on those plants. fun stuff!

we have 3 chapters left and we will be done science! yipee!  ill post on school this yr and next yr soon...im up to my nose in books!

one good thing about having a belly is it catches food that falls! haha i was eating chips the other day and voila! my tummy caught it. ha
yes, the baby lives on the left side. ha.  the larger bump is her bum, last night chris was amazed by her movements, shes out of room so there is not a lot of fat on the outside so when she moves you can see clearly an arm, elbow, bum and foot.  its very alienist and creepy. when she moves or replaces herself it is uncomfortable, i don't use the work "painful" because honestly after having gone through labor nothing else is classified as painful. har har but it is ouchy!
ellie with her shades. she loves her shades. shes getting so big!
i was cleaning out my photo album and came across this pic of dad holding ellie, in the same chair and same position that he held nate.  ellie climbed up and saw the pic and yelled "papa! baby! papa!"  that was 2 yrs ago!
in all her glory. a diaper and papa's hat. silly girl! 0 comments

funeral

i was watching the service yesterday when nate came booting it in and jumped up on the tv stand, pointed to this guy and yelled " there's CLAY"
that's my neighbor.  such a sad, sad service. i bawled.  and i am now on a mission to get my bro in law a new career that is safe. behind a desk. sob sob
ellie joy!  what a delight she is, while i sat on the floor she took my snack and put it into her snack container. haha
 my little dolly
 haha
she wanted more sleep cause her 3 HOUR nap just wasn't long enough...
 haha

we woke up this am to our BUTTERFLY!!
the red on the bottom is not blood but extra coloring for the wings that was not used. neat!  cant wait to release it....im thinking ill keep it a bit longer....ha 0 comments

zoo!

yesterday was the funeral of the 3 police men who were shot down in their prime.  moncton was bursting with officers from all over the country.  i decided to go forward with our plans for the day (home educator field trip at the zoo) and watch the service at home.  when we arrived at the zoo, the magic mtn parking lot was over flowing with officers preparing for the funeral.  who knew so much red and blue would brig tears to my eyes?

yesterday we met with the home educator group for a trip to the zoo! so much fun!  we had a behind the scene tour and hands on petting time with some of the animals, then had a guided tour with a staff member of the zoo, we were shown and told some insider tips and had a great time!
nate was staring at this sign, i asked him what he was doing and he said "mom, i love that i can read big words, i can read this whole sign!" independent learning i tell ya. haha
nate spent the day hangin with his buddy e
 reading about the cougar
u cant see the cougar but it was right in front of nate, we spent a good chuck of time watching his bad boy!
 scoping out the wild life
2 tigers on the loose! haha
the new spiffy play ground, its huge. we spent an almost an hour here
on the way out. my, my how he's grown from the 2yr old i use to bring to the zoo on a reg base!

chris took the morning off to stay and hang with his girl, while i took nate.  i knew that the setting would be more at nates level, sitting and listening so i decided to leave ellie at home and focus on nate, SO glad i did, most of the younger kids that did come (home educator putting are kid friendly, all ages welcome) melted down around 10:30...i am so grateful that chris's boss is so easy going with allowing him to take time off for these type of things.  times like this it' can be challenging not having family to jump in for an hour or two....esp dr appointments!  oya!

anyways! the day was fun! 1 comments

the past few days

thurs was spent in lock down, which is hard bec the kids want to go outside and play! so keeping them in was a challenge.  what was errie was my empty back yard....no kids, no life, so sad

we woke up friday am and the first question out of nates mouth was "did they catch the bad guy?"  i said YES! and nate headed out to play (schools were cancelled) but was saddened when he opened the door....it was raining!!!

but it wasn't so bad, nana and papa come in the afternoon to watch the kiddos while chris and i headed off to our 4th home educators conf!

we had a good time, i was disa pointed that i spent 5.00 on books, there was nothing on my list for sale and the few items i saw were highly priced. i look at it this way, if you are selling a USED book that it OVER 5 yrs old (most are 10) by the time my last child will use it, it will be outdated and no much good for me....so if this book is being sold used for 15.00 BUT i can buy it BRAND new for 25.00, im gonna pop the extra 10 and buy it NEW

i went to the conf with a good list of what i am looking for for next yr. unfortch the vendors that i wanted to talk to weren't there so im gonna have to use the Internet and order from their site with out looking at the books. oh well...

chris and i did connect with new ppl, made new friendships and were able to chat with others who are like us. ha.  chris was also voted on the henb board, which adds to our plate of things to do...but thats ok, its something that we are called to do, right?

now that conf is done, i will spend my week finishing up nates school plan for next yr, order the new books, put away his gr 1, organise his school cart, and lay out the plan for him to finish school next week or shortly after....wish me luck on that!

then, we are setting ellie up in her new room, with nate!  cleaning out her stuff, to make room for baby #3!  then re set the nursery up!  crazy!

i have about 6 wks until the baby comes and much to do!

life is full with good things!
the prop table i set up for the photo booth for the fri night ladies chat.  this time im keeping the props!  usually i mail them off to quinn to play with but these bad boys took a lot of time to make! sorry quinn!
dessert table. i kept it simple, simple, simple!  the cheese cakes were AWESOME!

happy monday everyone! 2 comments

moncton lock down

for those who are wondering and following whats going on in my home town, we are ok.  i didnt sleep much last night, the helicopters were loud and i was upset for my neighbour (hes rcmp)  as of this morning, the city is under a lock down, nothing much is open.

i am saddened and beyond dispare for the loss of the 3 rcmp officers as well as the critically wounded in the hospital

having a police officer in my immed family this hits too close to home

i am not afraid

i don't fear what man can do. i know where ill end up

peace and comfort to the wives/spouses of the officers as well as military men/woman that are out there looking for this guy

greater things are let to come in this city

*i refuse to post the details of what happened, i don't want to give this guy any publicity 0 comments

31.5 wks!

thanks chris for yet another flattering picture as you take it while laying on the couch. sigh.
yep, i look awesome babe. thanks!
belly shot yesterday morning before my prenatal apoint

preggo update, cause it's been awhile!

the babe is active, she is a mover for sure. she kicks strong and loves to move around, her movements are more intense than nates and ellie's!  i noticed a sleep and active cycle with her. super cool!

i will be 32 wks on sat, crazy!

i had my prenatal appoint yesterday, all is well.  i was to meet with my obg who delivered ellie to book a date for this babe but she was called to an emerg and i saw the on call obg instead.  so i have another appoint on june 16 to meet with my obg and i should have a date in a week after that

my test results came back, everything is peachy keen. im up 2 more pounds, making me a grand total of 34 pds (the nurse slipped the number) blood pressure is up and its being watched, i am measuring a perfect 32", other than the sinus issues and constant nasal congestion everything is ok...

sorta....last tues i woke up to bleeding. i kept it to myself but as the morning went on it still continued. i went and got chris around 11 and he told me to get thee to the hospital stat!  i felt that i was reacting with emotion and was quite upset, i was working through flash backs and other feelings from the past...i told chris i was not doing anything until i was under control, i put ellie down to nap and set nate up with independent work and spent time praying until i knew i was ok. i called the hospital and was told to give it another hour and to watch the blood.  after chris and i prayed together the bleeding stopped with in the hour.  i have had no blood since, i did not go to the hospital and i was under control

i did not feel the need to call ppl or share this bec sometimes doing that only makes yuo feel worse or more scared. i also didnt want to give any place to fear or torment. as for me and my house we will serve the lord

other than that, everything is awesome. i can not wait to wrap up conf this wkend, finish school with nate and focus on getting the house ready for our THIRD CHILD!!!

on a funny note, someone told me that i was crazy for having such a large family. since when did 3 kids make you a large family????? redic!
