it's all fun and games: August 2020

the middle of august!?!

ellie and joey have a new gig. they walk dogs. in the hopes of getting a dog....ha!

last tues was my birthday. it was uneventful as i wanted it to be....but chris made me this...he put all those hearts on by himself...i love that! thanks babe!

then i found the girls like this. with another "kid to be" in my garage....

but the next day i was honored to attend a concert, put on by joey and all her stuffies

yum and another wk of august!

we got our yum box. it was from Egypt! it looked SO good....but i didnt like much of it...im sorry, it was. just. bad.

even these angry cheesies....they were nasty! BUT i tried them all!

and this wk, i picked up a pencil and drew a pic....of mountains....then i put it down to make coffee...and saw this....joey copying my pic!

last weekend, my AMAZING parents came and watched my kids so chris and i could go to the cabin. ALONE! it was so WONDERFUL! i slept, read, wathed shows, ate, walked, shopped, and ENJOYED it all! chris and i went for a walk and found so many more paths on our land....and the adjoining land...

we came home monday. i said good bye to my parents and thanked them for everything!

as i unpacked i snapped this pic. to remind me of all my blessings....im so THANKFUL for these 2!

this week was full of play dates, sleep overs, fights, hugs, love, laughter, food and more play dates. i didnt take many pics so some odd reason....but yesterday i pulled these babies out of the oven and said " nate, take a pic, it looks like a snow flake!" and he did. then all the kids ate them! ha

this was my today. a coffee in the park, with a friend, adulating....i can do this...ha!

i have another wk before my life gets even nuttier!

life!

we had a bit of a heat wave this past week. when the heat got stupid, i went inside and finished up my binding, while listening to a pod cast, drinking coffee and eating chocolate. this lasted for 5 mins...sigh....the kids came in, with all their friends because it was " too hot" out...and i finished binding while listening to the kids yell....the coffee and chocolate was good. the rest....meh...ha!

tues night i went out to a meeting. i decided to out on a dress...the kids thought i went all out. haha. joey wanted me to wear this bow. i did....to the car. ha!

wed i went to my friends place. to let the kids go wild and we talked..and laughed. and reminded each other that summer is almost over. sob, sob!

wed night nate asked us around 8:30 if he could have a sleep over in the club house with his friend. i said " why not!" and they did....they stayed out all night....i was impressed! yea for sleep overs in the club house!

so on thurs....the heat was SO bad. i decided to clean the school room. i havent used it in years....it took FOREVER and its still not done! yikes! ill get to it....

but i was interrupted to go to a tea party...how could i NOT go? so i went. thank you joey for the tea!

hali part 1

fri night we headed back up to hali for the weekend. chris joined us! joey slept in our room, she was suppose to sleep in her toddler bed, but we found her like this....so precious!!!!

i love going "home" i found this in my parents bathroom. a cup of tooth brushes for the kids and me and my own tooth paste. there is something so comforting to go "home" and find this in the bathroom. i never bring my tooth brush, cause my parents got me covered. i love visiting mom and dad, i raid their fridge, open chips and eat all the peanuts and chocolates....thanks mom and dad for putting up with me....and stocking your fridge with my favorites. ha!

sat morning my sis and i went to run errands...and shop! a MUCH needed sister time away. we came home to a surprise, lead by quinn

a poster board for our birthdays and an adorable video. thank you quinn, i know you were the one who made it happen!

sat night was DATE night. and i did a RARE thing. i did my hair, make up and dressed up on my new pant suit. ha. after all the comments, im thinking i need to do this more often! i asked chris to take a pic of me to make it official. this is what i got. thanks babe!
