nate's crew

i try really hard to respect nate's privacy as he grows up.  but i just have to sneak these pics in...our place is still a place where they come to hang.  the drive is a pain in the butt but im willing to pick and drop off the kids.  last wkend we celebrated Hendrix's birthday.  it was hard.  one kid was missing.

but they still managed to make some memories and laughs...i dont mind them being here. at all!  i often get calls ..."hey mom, do you mind if so and so come for the night?"  i dont mind at all. they are a great bunch of kids.

some of nate's crew...Hendrix, dylan, ash, cindia, nate in the middle, chase and clara

5 yrs from now they will be gone...post secondary, married, moved....i just get a quick peek into their lives. but i hope they know they are loved, welcomed and wanted at the eig's house!

school!

we are off to great start this yr school wise! im actually getting stuff done.  we work in the loft area.  i do morning time with the girls/devotion/bible scripture then we do our joint subjects together.  we take a break, i coffee with chris and then i do 1 on 1 subjects with each girl.  nate works in his room and i pop in to check on him

i am LOVING this book!  i read a chapter a day, we do notes and talk about the lesson.  the girls were really interested in ther Greek history so i paused the textbook and spent 2 weeks learning about Greek History from mythology, Olympics, plays, arts, culture, food, money, social systems. you name it.  i found a few learning aids on line and videos to watch.  i learned a lot as well!

i got nate's school set up.  i gave him Sept off...it was to soon for him to go back to school after jayden's death...

oct we were up and running.  this semester he's finishing Geography and im adding map study so he can participate in the "macisaac family travel trivia" and not loose...bawahhhhh

ill be adding science and other subjects as the year goes on.

i mark and prep his lessons on the wkend.  he works at his own pace and around his work schedule.  i dont care how or when it gets done....as long as its done and done properly by sat.  so far so good! im going to set up his official transcript this yr...
