messy fun!

 late night snuggles before i slipped out to meet some friends for a much needed ME night!

 i am totally into CONTROLLED messes. haha  yesterday i set up some indoor, finger painting. they LOVED it

i must add, i am loving the home school life.  the girls are being so good in the mornings that we stay in bed until 8-8:30...i love that nate is adapting to a more lose school style, making it easier on me to be more flexible.  he keeps himself busy during his off time, which allows me to get things done or spend time with the girls.  i am grateful that n.b is so awesome to home educate your kids.  and with that im off to teach nate's math lesson!  happy wed everyone 0 comments

jumping jo bean!

 i got my book order on monday!  yipee.  now i have to sit and plan out a schedule for nate.  i decided that i am going to do science with him this quarter.....cause i wanna read the flipping book!  it looks SO good! i am also trying out this who is god series, i decided not to use if for school but instead just go through the book together, with out the note book.  it also looks really good and im excited to challenge nate on a spiritual level, and learn something new myself!

 this is ellie.  red shoes and no pants. she loves wearing big girl underwear!  she hasn't had an accident in 6 days. she got the pee thing down but we need to sit with her for the poops. its scary!  anyways, id consider her day trained!  yipee!

saturday

 chris took nate out sat am for some father son bonding time. chris called to let me know they were on their way home and that he saved me some fried.....thanks bud!  hahahaha  ummmm next time save me more k! ha

 late night cuddles. i love the snowy, cold weather. perfect excuse to stay inside and cuddle.

i do want to share 2 smack me in the face verses ive been chewing on

matt 10:16 "be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves"  ive spend hrs researching snakes ans doves.  its cray cray how awesome this verse is when you apply the animals to what the verse is saying.  this is my goal for this yr. to be wise as a snake but harmless as a dove!

and

Jer 20:9 "......his word burns in my heart like a fire, burning up my bones......" or as i like to quote it " blah, blah, blah......his word is burning like a fire in my body.....blah blah blah " haha

to have the passion to feel as if your body is burning, you must only speak it.  cray cray....my 2nd goal is to be like that

but reality hits like a load of laundry, school work is piled up on my desk and the house needs to be cleaned.  off i go to my life of cray cray good stuff

storm day!

 what else to do on a storm day?  they played blocks together. im SO thankful that they play so well together

 the morning after the storm. so quiet and tranquil. i love it

 johana is enjoying her supper of spinach, sweet potatoes and carrots. such a great eater she is. she caught on so easy and this too will make my life a bit easier soon.....

spelling

 nate working on his spelling. i am really enjoying using this program. i wish i was taught to spell this way!  nate picks up on it fast, we were able to do 3 lessons last week which is good cause i need to play catch up from using the other program from sept-nov!

 jo jo bean joined us too. i was able to teach nate the lesson with her on my lap. ellie was napping, i can totally teach nate when jo is awake....not so much with ellie! ha

 this is ellie's typical attire.  she loves her red sparkly shoes and wears them in the house.  forget pants they get in the way of making it to the potty. haha  she is doing awesome!  she had 2 accidents since wed, both were my fault....i want able to get her to the toilet in time (i was feeding jo both times) she hasn't done a # 2 yet....im working on that....but she now tells us when she has to pee, it makes it easier on me!

the other night, jo jo decided she wanted to party around 9, and invited me to join her. so i did. but i brought the party package to my bed to enjoy her in comfort. nate was already there, he slept through the whole thing. johana is such a happy little thing. i dont mind her parties....or her adorable invite! ha 0 comments

its potty time!

 i have been wanting to train this little gal for a LONG time. i knew i wanted to do what i did with nate.  but i couldn't find 3-5 days to do it!  i marked my calendar a few weeks back and told chris. that's it!  im training her!

i did 3 day hard core with nate and it worked well. so i did the same with ellie.  a few months back i started talking about the potty and all that. a few weeks back i went hard core, talking about it all. the. time. i bought her undies and showed her

mon morning i stripped her down, put her underwear on and got my rags ready. i fully expected to clean up LOTS of messes until she got the connect in her brain

mon morning she peed 4 times on me and the floor and i poop in her underwear

i pumped her full of apple cider, to get the pee going. ha

around 11 she made it to the potty!  for nap i use "nap underwear" pull ups. haha 

but after nap she did 14 pees in the toilet up to bed time with NO accidents! 

not bad at all for the first day!

 i found this in the bathroom....nate wrote it. awwww!

 i kept her in a shirt and undies all week to make it more easy for me

tues she had 2 accidents and 1 poop in her pull up (during her nap)  but made it 10 times to the potty!

wed i lessened up the juice and she had 1 accident that was actually my fault.  i was feeding johana her bottle and couldn't get ellie to the potty in time so she peed a little on the floor.  but other than that she was dry all day!!!!

yesterday i was vacuuming the floor and ellie went down stairs to get chris to bring her up to the toilet she had to pee!  yipee

so far today she has had NO accidents and asked 3 times to pee! 

i hope to get a poop outta her today in the toilet but over all potty training went awesome!!!  id say by the end of this wk she will be day trained!!! awesome!

i decided to teach her the alphabet while we waited for the pee, so she almost knows the entire alphabet!  wish i did that with nate. we read stacks of books too. haha

speaking about it, shes asking to go again!  awesome! happy thursday everyone!

i was telling chris the other day, i swear johana is just happy to be alive. she eats like a champ, naps like a pro and hardly ever makes a noise. she is so quiet, happy and, well, good! the best way to have a baby! ha

she will be 6 months on the 21.  cant believe how fast its going. i love her. i truly enjoy her.  so grateful for my bonus baby! 0 comments
