it's all fun and games

last week

i was working away in the school room last fri night after i put the kids to bed. i could hear something, i spun the chair around and found this....

ellie snuck into the chair to play the math game. ha i sent her back to bed.
fri night nate i spent time watching some tv, man, it is HARD to find age prop shows for preteens!

sat am, bright and early, in the snow and ice we headed to the cabin for a family work day

i spent the day taping the windows and covering them with plastic to prep the window boxes and painting

after the long day chris took the kids to shoot the bb gun and hit targets. JOEY hit her targets!!

while i put up my sore feet and sat in the silence...and almost had a panic attack with the amount of work still left/the pressure of financing this cabin! but its good. it will all work out

joey fell a part on the drive home. she was a hot mess! but i got her in the tub, fed and into bed....

the girls playing their fav game "cups" sunday morning joey and i went to church. chris was BEYOND exhausted so he stayed home with the older 2 and rested. when i got home, we surprised the kids with this

when we went to pay the 20.00 to swim the guy at the desk waved us through and let us swim for FREE! so we took the 20 we saved and got pizza and ice cream, a great way to end a fun family day! 0 comments

mon, tues

ellie and nate were both at their friends house playing, so i went up to the school room to do some work. i looked over and saw this

love her!

joey is out little creative artist. she is always cutting, gluing, coloring and making stuff. i love watching her work

the girls spend a fair amount of time this week making stories/books/drawing and coloring. good for me!

thurs night my friend and i went to dinner. we used these bad boys and got the appy, i got to pick and i picked something new ive never had before! spinach and artichoke dip. SOOOOO good. we really enjoyed our evening, after dinner we went to our small group

tues was storytime. the girls went in again with out me!

my friend lisa had to stay inside with her kids....i told her next week you can come hang with me. ha

we also had our first dusting of snow on tues

we had a visitor thurs night, we taught this kid and his sister yrs ago in our kids ministry, hes HUGE now almost to the top of my molding! we had a great time catching up with chris changed his mom's tired from summer to winter

tiffany left notes for ellie. haha

today was our first snow day! we didnt take time off, instead spent a bit more time hitting the books. ellies reading wall is coming along!

i spent the day so far doing school work. marking, planning, teaching and prepping....mostly getting caught up!!!

storytime!

tuesday was story time, and i got the shock of my life. as i went to walk into the room with the girls ellie said "mom, its ok. you dont have to come with me. ill be ok" and she took joey by the hand and off they went

i looked in from the outside. another small step away from me and one step towards independence...

LOVE them!

ellie took me inside to show me the painting she was working on!

joey wanted to write nana a letter. so she did...yesterday i spent the day cleaning, purging, and more cleaning. while i was in the bathroom....cleaning...i came out to find this. ellie and her friends were here. i kicked the kids outside and cleaned up the mess!

i found this little gem in my bed last night. i dont mind! i love her snuggles

nana's gift. haha. not sure how long it will last because joey SLEPT with it and played with it today BUT she did make it herself and wrap it! i tied the string, she did the rest!

this afternoon nate had a youth home school event, so i took the girls to the park, it was a bit cold, but warm enough to read 2 chapters and stay outside for an hr....my friend met me and i jumped into her car to warm up!
