nate loved them. he would shout when he spotted one. so being great parents we stopped and put him on one

again, i remained in the van

then we drove by a tractor store. we stopped and asked if nate could climb on one. then the employee came out and let nate drive one! and he did. all by himself. i took 20 pics of him driving the thing all over the fields but i will spare you's those shots!

and that was that. we had a great time away. i loved every second of my beach holiday. i want to go back next year!

what a day! so far this morning i

-worked out

-baked a doz cupcakes then iced them

-made a pan of squares

-collected/cleaned out the cupboards for the food bank at the church

-did 3 loads of laundry, including bed sheets, folded and put them away

-made lunch

-prepped tonight's lesson for the church (it's not done yet)

-packed nate's bag for next week

-read 10 books to nate

-answered all my emails

-drank 4 cups of coffee

haha

it's been a busy morning!

this will most likely be my last blog for a bit. we are taking off on a mini-vacay!

what a day. i wish i could have recorded nate today. he was SO funny. he also would not. shut. up. all. day. long he talked!

the birdhouse

while i was baking (before the rain) nate went to get food for the birds, he was quite upset that there were no birds yet, so he raided my baking cupboard and filled the bird house with choc chips, cranberries, raisins, peanuts and walnuts....

then he insisted i hang it up so the birds will "see it and come"

the story of 2 zucchinis

there once was 2 zuc's, who were buddies. they grew up together, played together and left their home a.k.a jess's garden to come to their new home...where they died together. ha

seriously. what does one do with 2 redic HUGE, over grown zuc's???

how does one bake with them??? having NEVER baked with zuc's before i was intrigued and set out to figure it out

so i tried to mash a zuc with a hand blender thingy
