it's all fun and games

the weather has SUCKED since last sat. we are now on day 8 of RAIN. the kids got in the pool anyways. i was impressed with ellie's growing confidence of the water. you go girl!

cakes! ellie wanted a blue cake, she got one. after the kids went to bed last night, i ate the icing and tossed them left overs. i would eat all of it. i dont have self control! my sis went though my cupboards looking for snack food, i dont have any....for a reason!!!! i will eat it all! so i just dont buy it and it saves me from hearing nate ask me 1000 times a day for junk. i dont have it, i cant eat it and he cant ask for it. haha!

nana and papa plumps

after the fam jam left yesterday, we had the girls open their gifts from nana and papa plumps. ellie loves her "pretties"

after jo got up from her 4 hr nap, which i woke her from. she saw her gift

my little bundle of joy. we celebrate you this wkend. you are the perfect way to end our family. i have enjoyed you so much, my little snuggle bug.

i am proud to show this picture. proud that i chose to use a bottle. proud that my girl is healthy, strong and growing just how she should, no matter how i chose to feed her. i have enjoyed every second of bottle time. every cuddle, snuggle, wiggle, playing with hands, toes and skin to skin. take that judgy mc jugersons! ha!

i remember the day that nate peeked out the 2nd from the bottom hole. he was 14 months. sob sob. he is going to be 8! time is flying by!

ellie, my ellie. growing up. she dressed herself this morning. and did a good job too!

life

ellie painting a picture. she is getting so good at staying in the lines, she is def more into the arts than her brother ever was!

this is a total answer to prayer. 2 wks ago, nates best neighborhood buddy moved to ontario. this left a huge void in nates day. nate is a social child, meaning he loves to have someone to play with, and sometimes im more thinking its not so much a person to play with but someone to keep him entertained. its frustrating at times. anyways. i told nate that there are a dozen homes for sale in the area and ill just pray that someone moves in...and voila the next day the door bell rings, its nates old friend devon who lives 2 streets down. normally he is in day care until 5 and then has hockey making him not available much, anyways, wouldnt you know it. his mom is taking time off and he's home this summer! every day this wk the door bell rings and in walks devon. i love this kid. he's a total boys boy/mixed teddy bear. he LOVES to be outside, making things in the shop, riding his bike/scooter and playing OUTSIDE. even in the rain. he is a only child, and loves the life in our home. i totally dont mind him over every day. anyways, how that to a total answer to prayer!!!

chris has been sick all week, but mon he took some time to build this automatic dinosaur with nate. its the neatest thing!

i was cleaning up the breaky dishes this am and i heard the best sound ever. laughter and giggles from the girls. i went over and clicked this. love that they play together!

1 yr? already???

with a sob in my throat, and my body shaking with dismayed, i am mixed with emotion to think of my baby, turning one. sob sob. how in the world, did this happen so fast?

thrilled i am, that god gave us this tiny, bundle of happy-joy to end our family. how perfect is his plan, his ways. far greater than i can imagine. to him i give all thanks.

johana, jo jo, little, tiny jumpy jelly bean jo. what a delightful year it was. i can honesty say that i enjoyed every snuggle, bath and bottle, late night, giggle, cry and smile. each mile stone, every diaper, spit up and gummy baby kiss...how blessed am i that i had you

i thought back over tthe year and tried to put together some memories of you. one popped out the most was the last day i spent in the hospital with you. you were discharged, i was waiting to be released and knowing it would be another 2-3 hrs, i took you in my arms, snuggled you down close and cherished each and every second of it. knowing it would be the last time, i would have you totally to myself to fully enjoy...and that i did. i love you johana elizabeth

you have taught me one very important thing....not matter what....everything will be ok...and knowing this, i embrace the next few years, i choose to enjoy all of it, the good and bad and long and hard because you my dear will always remind me that everything will be ok

she was thrilled that quinn wrote to her, the card is in her crib!

and happy nana wrote too!

then she called nana to say thank you

and we are going to go to mcdonalds today to get "a hamburger, a fries and an ice cream in a cup with a spoon" that's what she asks for....hahaha

and with that. nap time is over and my time to actually type is up. i should blog more when the kids sleep, that way i can type more than i word. haha

friday!

i gave nate a molding kit to keep him busy, i was SOSOSOSO!!!!! happy he did this with little help from me. he set the mold, then read the instructions and when it dried he took the paint out, went outside and started working on it. i was SO happy he showed some interest in something other than, reading, video games and swimming
