storytime!

 tuesday was story time, and i got the shock of my life.  as i went to walk into the room with the girls ellie said "mom, its ok. you dont have to come with me.  ill be ok" and she took joey by the hand and off they went

 i looked in from the outside.  another small step away from me and one step towards independence...

 LOVE them!

 ellie took me inside to show me the painting she was working on!

 joey wanted to write nana a letter.  so she did...yesterday i spent the day cleaning, purging, and more cleaning. while i was in the bathroom....cleaning...i came out to find this.  ellie and her friends were here.  i kicked the kids outside and cleaned up the mess!

 i found this little gem in my bed last night. i dont mind!  i love her snuggles

 nana's gift.  haha.  not sure how long it will last because joey SLEPT with it and played with it today BUT she did make it herself and wrap it!  i tied the string, she did the rest!

 this afternoon nate had a youth home school event, so i took the girls to the park, it was a bit cold, but warm enough to read 2 chapters and stay outside for an hr....my friend met me and i jumped into her car to warm up! 

 this is why i home school!

 i asked her what was she doing???? and she said "my lip hurt, so i got a bandaid" hahaha

 last wed while waiting for chris, ellie joined me in bed. i love these moments an i take pics so i can remember them!

so far behind....

 ellie came home last monday with this bad boy...a bag of candy to help her start the "holiday season"

 for the last 2 months ellie has been complaining of "tooth" pain when i brush her teeth. i finally took her to the dentist, normally, due to my anxiety/fear of the dentist i have chris take the kids to the dentist, but this time i decide to take ellie (and her siblings) and have her tooth looked at. she took her stuffies and we saw the dentist, and got the answer to her pain...her adult teeth are coming in and putting pressure on her gums and upper teeth = pain when i brush. the only answer is for her to grin and get through it

 last sat chris and nate went to the land to work, i stayed home to catch up on school work, house work and then took the girls to the library. we fell upon a book sale i bought all these!!!! cant WAIT to have the time to read them!!!

 sat night, i spent the night laminating and prepping school. nate is taking a physics and chemistry course and we spent sometime studying the table of elements but i felt that he needed "more" so i got this bad boy...

 so. much. work. but with 3 kids using it, it will be worth it!

Halloween!

 this yr i decided not to celebrate halloween, but instead i took the kids to a hotel that rented us the pool and water slide.  we met up with friends and spent 3.5 HOURS swimming and enjoying the pool.  chris went to the land, so i was free to be with the kids

 nate took JOEY!!! down the water slide, she LOVED it

 i took floaties to the pool not knowing how deep the pool was, turns out it was AMAZING!  there was a huge shallow end for the girls, then they had large blue line...see below to indicate that it went from shallow to deep, so ALL my kids could enjoy!

it was the BEST night.  i spent the evening chatting to my friend, while the kids swam. we went home to way too much candy! ha 0 comments

PD DAY!

 fri was my 8th!!! annual pd day!  it a day where home school moms are "refueled" it was hosted in moncton this yr and NOT by me! ha. and the location was AWESOME bec of my busy week and the fact that they offered child care that day (with an additional cost) so i took the kids with me and i was able to spend some time with my friends kid free.  the tables were set

 so lovely!  really, anything that i dont have to cook or make is awesome. haha

 this just cracked me right up. chris was whited out as the HENB Guest Speaker. hahahaha

i sat in a few work shops, learnt some new information, made a few new connections and caught up with out of town home schoolers.  i decided to leave early because i needed to be in hali for 6 and tge weather was really bad.....

 i have to say the kids program was AMAZING!!!!  they had  physical education instructor for the morning then lunch, mad science then lego/bricks for kids!  when i went to pick the kids up, they did NOT want to leave

 so. much. fun

 nate created a lego robot then brought it to life

 he programed it and it worked!  but we had to go. the weather was down pouring rain, normally the drive to hali is 2.5 hrs but i knew with the weather it would be so much longer....so glad we left early. we got to hali in time for me to leave the girls at mom and dads while i took nate to his first wkend away youth conference!  i dropped him off, then came home to put ellie to bed ,then spent my night like this...

 i didnt sleep much. ha
