it's all fun and games

garden time!

fri i had a frriend over for a swim and catch up! they left around 4 and around 5 chris and i and the girls headed out to do the mulch on the property

we (chris) also planted a new tree!

front garden, i weeded monday night with ellies help. nate was just chilling. ha

flower bed. i cant wait for the flowers to bloom!

i walked pass the girls room and found this.

i spent most of sun getting ready for mon. i had a playdate arranged....

not including the 6 neighbor kids

i fed them all

some kids braved the pool. but most stayed in the club house, trampoline, bikes and the girls room

for having that many peeps over it was AWESOME!!!! no fights, the house was left looking reasonable and im totally going to do it again!

and i spent my evening reading this silly, fun read! so good!

my girls in the sand box. they made food, and coffee and served everyone! wouldnt you want to come to their sand box restaurant! ha!

and what that. im off to wash bed sheets, supervise play dates and well, just be a mom i guess....oh wait! we have small groups tonight!

last week!

we had a heat wave last week, it was 30+ every day! i LOVE it. i went to get groceries and it was 30 at 11! love it!

we filled the pool last week and the boys went in! yikes! too cold for me!!!!

then the girls joined them!

way too cold for me! now that the temps have dropped to 12-14ish i have little hope of the pool being warm enough to swim in by the weekend!

fri i went back to the cabin with the kids. i told them that we will stay at the house for a week after one last weekend. i had a great time. i read, watched my shows and relaxed. sunday we had friends over for supper and it was so nice to just sit and catch up. i loving having friends over i dont feel that im entertaining. we left on monday to come back to the house. the kids spent the rest of the day outside playing

joey found a "diamond" and wanted to give it to me. she asked if i would marry her. ha

i went to the thrift store last week and i found this devotional (new) for 2.25. it was EXACTLY what i needed and was looking for my devotion time. i LOVE it. its seriously what i need. a total god find!

i do my quiet time in the tent. the kids are not allowed to talk. ha and after we chat and snuggle

so ellie got stung by a wasp. earlier in the day nate started the bbq and found a wasp inside, so he took it out. the wings were burnt off from the fire. 4 hrs later ellie stepped on it and got stung. it was a group effort to make her well. the 2 boys took care of killing the wasp. ha

joey is always finding flowers and bringing them to me. she picked these at the cabin and carried them home with her

and we are at the house for a week or so. or until the kids all start fighting and drama happens then im packing up and heading back to the cabin. the kids have been warned! i hope to start tackling my house to do list...theres rain in the forecast, so i might as well clean then!

outside work

last weekend, or rather the long wkend was spent working around the house. chris did 99% of the work himself, while i admit i goofed off and went out with friends....im super happy that he got so much done! i give him ALL the credit! ha

on mon i went to a friends house, SOOOO nice to catch up with my homeschool homies! there was 22 kids. So much fun on the trampoline. haha

we checked out the chickens and the eggs

then came home to help chris with the last of the fence.

we got a GAZEBO!!!! i was happy with the reg old, cheapest one i just wanted shade! but chris picked this one out. its SOOOOO nice and now we have more privacy! we added lights as well then opened up my new patio furniture....that i bought on line in feb....ive been waiting for SO long to have this and once we put it together i was so upset with it. i didnt like it at all!

it was WAY too small! and not comfortable! i was so upset. after talking to chris we decided to sell it on kijiji for 300...i took a loss of 50. i paid 350 for it....it was sold with in hrs of listing and 3 others wanted it. ha

less on learned. i will not order patio furniture on line in the winter. chris you were RIGHT! ha! 2 comments

cabin

on wed i took the kids back to the cabin, for our 2nd last week of school. we found this wasp and after watching it we let it go

then hit the books to finish up some school

they work so well at the cabin!

ive decided that this week is our last week for school. the weather is turning nice and im done with it. i will keep working with the girls on science to finish up the book, but im thinking only at the cabin. nate has 1 more book report to write and he's done too. next yr we will pick up the slack!

i read this on 1 day. so good! its about the children that were kidnapped to start the perfect race. ive never read about this topic before. it was totally worth the 9.00 i spent on it!

chris arrived thurs with a surprise for me!!! a swing! he got it off kijiji for 25.00! theres no cushions but ill make it work, we put the bug net around it and i set up a school area, we spent our school time outside.

sun we had friends visit us at the cabin. i havent seen them in 4 yrs! it was SOOOOO nice catching up and picking up where we left off. we went for a walk in the woods and i found this cute little fern, its all rolled up! corse now i have to google it to find out what it is!

then it was time to bath the pigs! ellie takes great care of them. first thing she does every day is change the water and feed them. she loves animals and i can see her having lots on the future!

i wanted to do something nice for nate to thank him for watching the girls with out complaining or asking for payment. i finally knew what to get him as a thank you!

burgers! juice and watermelon! he was so impressed. thanks buddy for ALL that you do! you are so loved and i am so proud of the young man you are turning out to be. he's almost and i mean like less than in inch way from being taller than me!
