service n.b!

so, we went to service new brunswick to get my drivers licence renewed and such. i explained in advance to nate how it would all go down. i went into detail, he loves detail...hummm wonder who he takes after. any ho. i got my pic taken and nate was quite upset that the lady "did not take MY picture" so i told him that once we go outside i would take him picture.

so out we go. nate find this mini garden, plunks himself down and says "mommy, take MY picture" and SMILED at the camera!
then he said " mommy, i change position, take new picture" he posed. i snapped (seriously, change position??? where did he get that???)

again. another pose
then we hit the park
and we were alone. it's kinda hot to have kids playing at the park. we left shortly for ice coffee. ha!
my child cracks me up
he announced that he needed to "go poop in the toilet" and off he went. then he yells "MOMMY! come shut the door! i am on the toilet, i need my privacy" bawahhh
nap time yesterday. i put him into his bed and he says " mommy, i need my toys" so i did give him some. then he says "come on, mommy. i need more toys" bawahhhh
yes, i send him to bed with toys
"A BUG!!!"

i am STILL looking for a treadmill. i must buy one soon. the heat and humidity is knocking me on my weak butt! i can not stand walking/jogging in this heat. it's brutal! anyone have a decent treadmill???anyone????

burnt out baby!

i burnt out the second motor in my treadmill last night. yep. the second one. my dreadmill has come to it's end. sob. sob.
i have a love hate relationship with that painful piece of metal. i hate every last second of being on it. i hate thinking about it, it makes me tired just thinking about working out. but like everything in life...if you want results you have to do the work...i do like the results...hence the love hate part
so, i am off to find a new tread...my budget is teeny, tiny and redic small but i can work with that...off to check kijiji
who has a treadmill they want to get rid of? haha!
wish me luck!

my newest, most favest pic of my boys!

it was so hot yesterday! after our pentecostal pm naps, we all headed to the park to play, play, play!
snuggles, cuddles and love. nate was simply in the est mood. we had SO much fun with him
nate even gave us a semi smile!
we played the "run like an animal game" he was running like a dog
slither like a snake
as chris ran we snuggled
roar like a lion
then home to fly his kite. he loves his kite. he can actually fly is quite well!
"kite is way, way, way up in the SKY!"

how great

it started to happen a few days ago. and i wish it away

supper time. we sit around the patio table. chris across from me. nate to my right. i look down. in a split second i see a bouncer chair. but it's empty

i am walking. chris is at my right pushing nate in the jogger. i look down. i see the baby sling. it too is empty

at night. i wake. i swear i heard a baby cry. it takes a second to realise that i did. in my dream. there is no baby in my home

i walk into the spare bedroom, open the blinds, turn to my right and hit my toe on the bed frame. there is no crib in this room. just a bed. it's empty too

i sit on a bench at the park. i watch nate. he's climbing over the play structure. he's alone. his brother is not here

i walk past the diaper aisle at superstore. the thought hits me faster than i can stop it. i wonder...will i need diapers again?

i sit on the couch. chris on my right. nate on the floor, he's building a train track. i glance at the open floor. there is no baby

i look down in my arms. they too are empty

he's not here anymore

oh how i ache for him. "they" say losing a child is something that you never "get over" i know it's true

the past few nights, i lay in bed. i can feel the tears fall. i can't stop them, they start before i can compute their existence. i tap the strong shoulder to my right

i mutter "hold me"

he does

i calm myself by knowing that this pain will pass. it's normal. it's a process

i miss my son

oh benny boy you are missed. i am so thankful that i got to feel you, i felt you move. you were apart of me for a short time. i am grateful that you were given to me, even just for those wonderful 20 weeks

until we meet again my son

* in trying to keep it "real" losing a baby just plain old sucks. it's not right. it's not fair.

i remind myself, when the pain is really strong, intense and feels like it's going to swollow me up. i remember that my pain is NOTHING compared to what my jesus went through for me

he truly is great

deck!

love it! chris looks SO happy and nate looks quite pleased with himself...

the start of the deck addition

me. i impressed chris with my strength (all nails were hammered by hand) my durability (it was flipping HOT and i didn't quit) and my over all charm. ha

the final nail!

nate joined us and helped

is it sad that we didn't have to show him how to do it, we just gave him "his" hammer and voila

like father like son like grandvati

he was very busy with the hammering

final deck! we will stain it next year

the original plan was to take the stairs from the left side and put them where the screen door is but add more stairs to the sides making them semi octagon...but after much thought, we think it's too much...and we got lazy...so we will keep the stairs where they are, wait a year and move them next year if we want to

all in all it was a busy, successful, long weekend

the sad and sick part is this. i was the one who wanted to stay home and work. not chris. wow, i have changed!

nate funny- as we were finishing up the deck, nate found the pile of scrap wood. he got busy and built this tall wooden structure. chris went to put the wood away and nate said

"NO! STOP DADDY!!!"

we asked him why?

his reply "that's the CROSS OF JESUS" yes, he was building the cross of jesus. ha.

veggie and flower garden

(nate went right to the dirt pile)

we woke yesterday to the startling revelation

one should not stain a deck right after it's built

so then we stopped and pondered "what shall we do today?"

we settled on the veggie garden!

and off we went. we dug out the garden, it was rough going. the clay was rough and mixed with lots of rocks!

nate then found the hose and watered the grass, after a round of soccer

*note the trees in the pick*

this is for you vati. i know it's not nearly as wonderful as your garden! but it's a start!

remember the trees in the above pic? our fabo neighbour had to many so he GAVE us 6 trees! we planted them along the sides of the property line and plan on adding more

long shot taken from the deck. the veggie garden in behind the shop, beside the cherry tree...you can also see 3 more trees

i planted lettuce, green beans, peas and carrots. i want to wait and see how they grow to determine what i will add next year

then we hit the park for some play...and nate went right to the dirt pile!

chris and moi. love the self shots

nate had to "go pee in the toilet" and we found a port a pot in the park. chris took him. i won't touch those nasty things in a million years

hee hee. nate will love me for this

these are for you muetti (and mom) my flowers!

more color

and more

window box. next year i will have some red flowers...and prob white boxes...

there ya go! us in a nut shell!
