field trip!

we discovered a local green house in aulac, ok kinda local! its owned and operated by this great dutch/homeschool family who moved from ont (about 1/4 of our group is peeps from ont!) and started a green house called Holmstead Farms...i had a blast! i really enjoyed the information shared...i think the parents enjoyed it more than the kids!
making our plants
holding the baby chicks
olga and ellie
the sassy ducks. i now want a set of ducks. they are so mouthy!
all the plants!

they went through the whole process from heat/temp/kinds of water to soil and nutrients to the choices of seeds...it was very informative

the moms were totally into it
chickens! i mean can you even be a home schooler if you dont have them? haha  it was nice to get out there and meet them, i ended up spending 2 hrs after the tour talking to the owners.  it was a great day!  then we hit up the local park to play while i read.
this totally cracked me up and reminded me of chris
joey left this note for chris
she left her dog stuffy at the cabin and asked chris to bring it home for her...she even drew the picture. love her!

the start of gutting the play/school room.....so......much work. this room needed a lot of work, it was used the most over the yrs and it showed! i cant imagine how many hours ive spent in there.....

waking up to this.  is perfect.  a coffee and note from chris
its thursday! my 3rd child is here! ha...judah has spent so many nights with us :)
we did earth day with the group. a video/share, then out door scavenger hunt, a craft and planted a sun flower....and amanda is FOREVER banned from all crafty supplies....she gave the kids GLITTER!  what a mess!
caleb, he's the best!
moi!
meeka asking for a snack "me eat too?"
she is truly a mountain dog.  i found her laying on the very last patch of snow...choosing to lay on it instead of the grass!  winter is her season
one monday NONE of us were feeling school so we all ditched it (last minute!) and met up at the park for the day! so! fun!  all it takes is 1 person to say..."im not feeling school today....." and bam! we are at the park!
my 3! ha

caught this happening!  awe nate!

the start of CRAZY!

we have been in the process for months now of getting the house ready to list/sell/move.  we bit this process off in pieces, much easier to live with...but it drags on....and on.... we took the beds a part for the girls and for a few wks they slept like this.  i love how they make their beds and get their things ready for bed....mental note to take pics of the AFTER. they are SOOO messy!

ellie's bed on top

joey's in the floor

joey's must haves.  her pile of special blankets with sleep mask
and endless supply of stuffies....and more stuffies....that ALL have a name and are SO special to her!
SPRING is here! know what that means???? ZOO CAMP!  i was able to get spots for them for all 6 wks!  they cut the amount of kids to 8 per class, this is their fav home school activity and with covid their normal school activities have been cut. but yea for zoo camp!
off they go!
meeka, sweet meeka. she cracks me up.  she got "stuck" in the cord of the vacuum and stood there until i set her free....all she needed to do way walk out of it. but no. she just stayed there until i came and i rescued her...
oh baby!
poor baby! hahaha
