it's all fun and games

hali!

we were delayed by a day (freezing rain) but we left on mon for a quick hali trip. i picked the kids up at the bus stop on monday and tues papa and nana came with us for an after school snack

we also hit up the ducks and the park but i was too cold so i went and sat in the warm van. ha

then they played hair dresser

for puppies! hahaha

it was nice to break the week up by sneaking a trip in. but now im back to house work and school. ha. chris gave me the BEST valentine gift EVER yesterday. he mopped my floors! thanks babe! i love you too!

and with that, i must go. we have a play date going on right now, and the kids have been upstairs for about 20 mins alone....and are being VERY quiet. this NEVER ends well....ha. off to investigate.

tues night we took the older kids to the movie, we saw peter rabbit. oh my word, cry and i laughed SO much. the movie was EXCELLENT. there was nothing, nothing that we could think of that was bad, off color, scary etc...and the adults enjoyed it too. joey didnt come because she put herself to bed at 5:30. yes, 5:30! she was so tired! it was a fun night with the big kids!

sisters! i love hanging with my bestie. so glad i have her. i cant imagine going through parenting with out her. shes so solid, strong and keeps me off the cliff. i love being able to sneak off to hali just to hang with her...on the couch...with the kids. haha thanks for always having my back. i love you sis

copper

we stopped in to visit with copper, jon and jess. the kids had such a blast.

getting ready to say good bye but not before...

an epic melt down from joey! she was a hot mess. being told we had to go with out warning, at lunch time=melt. down. i was able to talk her down

and she left with a smile

ha. or not. its hard being 3!

sick!

poor little jo woke up in the middle of the night, all sick. all over her. i got her cleaned up and stripped her bed but she didnt have a blanket (it was puked on and was going into the washer) so i grabbed nates "spare" it worked and our little joey went back to sleep. poor thing!

we worked on valentine cards. the kids all signed them. i refused to write our names 40 times. ha the kids had a great time working away at it

lunch yesterday. joey had a book as well when i first looked over. made me laugh. they all look so big! time is going by so very fast!

ha. love is sweet? hahaha. i only 20 mins to set up, so i had the kids do most of it. the party was so much fun. a lot of work. but the kids had a blast

being homeschoolers. the party started on time, but most of the kids came late...

making bags to put their candy in. joey went around with nate. i was running the craft table, nate was suppose to take her with him to each table. but after making cup cakes he took off with his friends so joey went with the boys by herself. ha

nate was more into talking with his friends than the party. which is ok, hes getting older! 0 comments

part 2

ellie with her friends. ive noticed the last few weeks that i am shifting my focus from nate to ellie in regards to her social activities. nate is growing out/aging out of a lot of activities. but ellie is entering into the age group. so really the party was more age approp for ellie. and she had a BLAST. i love how all the girls wore pink or purple

i wasnt able to socialize a lot with the moms because i was manning a table but its still nice to get out of the house. im thankful for the home school community we have. we all come from different places/back grounds/beliefs but we all work together to make home school a positive and FUN experience for our kids 0 comments
