first off, i don't care what people choose to do for halloween, or what ever you want to call it. i don't judge nor care enough to debate it.
for us, our family, we choose not to do the traditional halloween or any church spin off holy night, light the night, trick or trunk etc etc etc
i have ZERO problem with dressing up and or costumes. they are super fun and great to play! just not on oct 31 for us
each yr i plan on doing something different with my family in place of it. i don't believe in taking things away from the kids with out replacing it with something of value
our family values family fun times!!!
this yr nana and papa came for a visit. they rented a hotel with a pool, so nate, ellie and i came to swim in the afternoon, we then had nate's freinds join us for a swim and a pizza party up in the room. then dad busted out the candy bags. yeah, there was a lot of candy! ha. the kids had a great time and so did we.....kinda the point for oct 31, no?
so how ever you choose to do oct 31, for what ever reason, i hope you guys had a great time too!

We will join in on this, as Jess and I share the same value as you, Kid's don't do halloween anymore anyways, had 2 kids this year come by the house. Kind of steals the magic from the kids so we plan to replace it with family fun as well.
