they are here! yeah! nate was excited to show them his art work. that he made. all by himself

bright and early, before the rain hit, we went to the park. typical swiss style, we consulted the map

then we set off

over the bridge

though the forest

over a log

reflecting on the bridge

men folk taking down a tree...doing manly things

deliberating on the next tree to take on

strutting towards it

nate held his own weight

perty fallness

more beauty

continuing through the woods

taking on another tree

more magnificent scenery

a snake

the rain hit so we left for shelter....at tim's for lunch
this afternoon nana and poppa plumps surprised nate with this adorable book on pumpkins and a huge real pumpkin!

after the story was read

poppa (great knife handling btw) took to carving this thing out for nate

taking the guts out

marking the face. it's a happy, smiley face

tada! smiley pumpkin as nate now calls it!
what a GREAT idea! i am so pleased that nate's very first ever pumpkin carving experience was with his nana and poppa plumps. how awesome is that?
it's great to have such amazing in-laws!
it was a fun, filled, chatty day!
