i wanted to get nate into learning how to pray on his own. so i figured the kids can't read yet and he's well...3...so visual aids would work! so i had him pick out pics of family members (all the family) and i used my handy-dandy cricut machine to use...of course..mickey ears to spell out the names...hoping that he will start to identify "daddy" spells daddy when he sees his pic...
(poppy has been fixed...he's missing a y in this pic)

we used it last night for the first time. he did great. he prayed out loud for everyone and not just saying their names but "for my friend quinn. quinn loves apples!" ha!

some pages are a bit squishy
so we are going through the book. nate sees himself and he says (and i did not change 1 word)
and with hands in a prayer like position
eyes closed
on his knees
he says
"that's me! i pray that nathaniel will grow bigger and bigger and bigger. then he can go to DISNEY WORLD!"
for real
i swear i do NOT talk about disney with him but what freaks the jeeves out of me is when he sees something that triggers his memory he will tell me about his disney trips! little details that i did NOT tell him. it's very freaky that he can communicate with me what he saw at 18 months and 2 yrs!

as i cleaned. nate played. everything he does has a purpose
4 mats
4 chairs
and his truck to drive 'all over the city"
i love him

this am. we didn't make it in to church. chris is snow blowing as i type. so we tapped into the service, which was like. exactly awesome. why? bec i just said the same thing 3 times yesterday to 3 different people...basically that god is good. even when our circumstances are not. it does not matter. he is always good. always faithful!

silly boy!
have a great sunday everyone!
