check!
check!
chris took nate to his swim lesson last night and i was out the back door, seeds in hand as soon as they left. i've wanted to get the seeds in the soil for weeks but with all the rain and what not, it hasn't happened. it's done!
i decided not to change the size and make it bigger. i am not sure what next summer can bring and i did not want to take on something i can't maintain (no i am NOT preggers)
this yr i did cucumbers, beans (yellow and green) snap peas, peas, carrots and turnip. i can't not wait to taste it!!!!!!!!!!

Save some for me!
It was a late year getting started in the garden wasn't it? I hope everything will grow and I'm sure Nate will be excited by the process. The garden can be a great teaching tool!
I am Shannon's friend, Beth, creeping your blog.:) I saw your post on gardens and thought I'd check it out. How did you prepare your soil? Did you add anything to it (Lime, manure, etc.)? I am starting my first veggie garden this year.:) I have similar veggies as you (carrots, cucumbers, green beans, radishes, and green onion). The weather just started getting nice here too, so I'm going to plany my seeds this week.
b- hello! which shannon's friend are you :) i know 3 shannon's :) i did nothing to my soil, my hubs went out and dug/turned over, then i just planted them. i've never added anything to the soil, just lots of water...i hope that helped
u- last yr i didn't get the seeds in the soil until JULY! and everything urned out great so i am crossing my fingers for this yr.i can't wait to see some greeness!
c-come over and pick your own stuff :)
Shannon from Halifax/Edmonton. Does that help clarify? :) Thanks for the tips! You must have good soil there. I mixed in some vegetable garden soil in mine since it's our first year, but it should be set for the years to follow.
