cabin

sat night i headed to the cabin with the girls for the night.  i was welcomed to this surprise from chris, he built this cool jacket rack. love it
and he built all the bed frames!  all the beds are off the floor now!
he also built the bathroom vanity
and put the storage shelf in the bathroom...we tested some white paint on the cupboard, i plan on painting the cabinets white
 washer/dryer installed and working
 nates bed
 SKIP BO!
i forgot to take pics of the kitchen cupboards. they are all installed and DONE!  now we just (we as in chris.ha) have the tile in the porch, the stairs and baseboards....then lots and lots of cleaning...and we can move it!
i left around noon, after wonderful pancakes for breaky. THANKS chris. they were really good.  i got some groceries, came home and slept.  all of us got this nasty cold!  NOOOOOo not again!  im dousing my self with medicine to get better!

i tried to sleep last night....
fun sharing a bed isnt it. ha
this morning, ok.  this afternoon we did some school and the kids played hockey while i did some prep. love home schooling and the freedom/flexibility of it
 joey cooked for us!
i feel that i dont record a lot of the silly stuff that goes on during the day.  im trying to make a point to write it down so i dont forget...

literally 30 seconds ago ellie came to me and said "mom, i  know why you like homeschooling"  i said why?  and she said "because if i was in school all day you would never see me and you would miss me so much and that would make me sad"

yep thats why i love home schooling. ha

another funny.  we were driving to the play on thursday and nate was reading our devotion. he was in the middle of the creation story when joey yells "BEEF STEW!"  chris taught the kids to yell beef stew when they toot....then during the play, joey is sitting on my lap and i felt her toot. she looks at me and whispers "beef stew"

while at the cabin the kids were all playing "hide and go seek", i told chris of a  memory i had as a kid playing that game but this one time my dad was there, so he put me in the cupboards over the fridge.  a few hrs later the kids get home and all report to me that daddy hid them in the cupboard over the fridge.  awesome!!!

and that is a quick peek into our days...i hope to blog more this week...get better and have a GREAT weekend!
