it's all fun and games: company

john, karen and their 3 kids joined us sat-sun. they were down from ontario on vacation. it was seriously, the most refreshing visit ive had in a long time. we all get along so well, including the kids and we have agreed that if we lived closer we would be "couple" friends. the girls played so well!

i didnt take any pictures because i was really enjoying the visit. but we snapped these when they left

karen using the zip line. chris and the girls took them to the cabin for the night, they hung out more while i waited for nate to get home. john and karen stayed at the cabin adn we very thankful for a shower and bed to sleep in! until our next visit!

i went to the cabin sun for a night alone. i read and napped, and read some more. it was so nice!

for nate's b-day this yr i bought him a treat bag of healthy food. he's 14 and enjoys working out, he wants to get into body building so instead of the typical junk he liked the new foods!

then i picked up his friends and we headed to the cabin for a "boys night" i let them do their thing and i read

this! the next day i dropped them off at jay's where they stayed the night and spent the next day at cape enrage together.

i entered the school room! i figured with nate being away and chris staying over night at the cabin, i would set a timer and see how much i could do....i sorted into piles. then quit for the night! ha

the next day i took this cutie out for her one on one trip. we had ice cream

then went to the cabin for a mom and ellie night. we read a book together, took a walk, painted and watched a show together

we had supper, her choice. it was fun to have to all to myself and see where she's at in life, to hear her stories and enjoy being with her

another day. another smoothie stop! i took the kids to the cabin fri. chris joined us. its SOOOO hot out. yesterday it was 35 but felt like 40. its that gross sticky stuff! thurs night i was going to go out with a friend but i decided to save money and have her over. we could eat for cheap and enjoy the a/c at my house. it was a great idea and i think i want to do that more!

we finally have the guns and the licenses. we took turns shooting. i actually hit the target and knocked over a log! if it wasnt so hot it would have been more enjoyable!
