so way back in aug....aug 1 to be precise! quinn and charlie stayed with us for the week. we had a lot of fun! VERY late nights! swim parties! and smoothies! i made quinn a bday cake for his actual b-day. i realised that i didnot have the right candle. but what ever. this worked! after church we all came home to change.
first! how great is it to go to church and NOT wear a mask, register, social distance etc! i hugged so many ppl it was fan-tast-tic!
2nd- i snapped a quick pic before i took my make up off. i havent worn make up in MONTHS! and the last time a flat iron was in my hair was last october!
then we packed up and headed to the cabin. quinn rode with me and meeka
we then dropped the food off and took 6 kids for the wkend and to crooked creek. its almost impossible to get a group pic. here are a few lame attempts to do so

nate jumping off the cliff. its a 30' jump. i was impressed that all the boys did it. nate went first, then dylan and then quinn

i hung back in the shade with meeka and the gear. it was interesting to listen to the teen's talks, they were impressed that the boys jumped. the girls were nice, i ended up talking to them. and they cleaned up all their mess when they left
chris took the girls, ellie, joey and charlie to the smaller cliffs and water to swim

he did it. i loved how everyone around the kids were encouraging them for jumping and cheering them on

i sat back and enjoyed. i was not doing any kind of jumping!

meeka did so great! she hiked with us down the steep and i mean STEEP hill and made friends with everyone who came around. the creek was quite busy because it was the long wkend on a sunday afternoon

the long walk back. we went slow because it was so hot but the kids did great. including meeka

i needed a silly read for the wkend. with 6 kids in the cabin! i read this. it was silly and easy to read in one evening
dylan is quite the chess player. chris just beat him
meeka was settled for her evening with mommy reading
