it's all fun and games

cabin

on wed i took the kids back to the cabin, for our 2nd last week of school. we found this wasp and after watching it we let it go

then hit the books to finish up some school

they work so well at the cabin!

ive decided that this week is our last week for school. the weather is turning nice and im done with it. i will keep working with the girls on science to finish up the book, but im thinking only at the cabin. nate has 1 more book report to write and he's done too. next yr we will pick up the slack!

i read this on 1 day. so good! its about the children that were kidnapped to start the perfect race. ive never read about this topic before. it was totally worth the 9.00 i spent on it!

chris arrived thurs with a surprise for me!!! a swing! he got it off kijiji for 25.00! theres no cushions but ill make it work, we put the bug net around it and i set up a school area, we spent our school time outside.

sun we had friends visit us at the cabin. i havent seen them in 4 yrs! it was SOOOOO nice catching up and picking up where we left off. we went for a walk in the woods and i found this cute little fern, its all rolled up! corse now i have to google it to find out what it is!

then it was time to bath the pigs! ellie takes great care of them. first thing she does every day is change the water and feed them. she loves animals and i can see her having lots on the future!

i wanted to do something nice for nate to thank him for watching the girls with out complaining or asking for payment. i finally knew what to get him as a thank you!

burgers! juice and watermelon! he was so impressed. thanks buddy for ALL that you do! you are so loved and i am so proud of the young man you are turning out to be. he's almost and i mean like less than in inch way from being taller than me!

house!

we arrived back to the house on tues, we had small groups tues night and i needed to be back. i came home to my new front steps!!! chris really out did himself. i only wanted new steps, the onld ones were 12 yrs old and broken. instead he did this!!!!!

then i came around back and saw this!!! chris got me a swing of kijij for free. i need to get a cushion for it and he set up my new patio furniture! sunday we left the kids at the cabin and went to find a set that we both liked

we ended up spending 100 more and got this set. we both love it! its much stronger and comfortable. so now i have the set up ive wanted for yrs!!!! thanks chris!

i took joey to the 300 store yesterday. shes been acting up lately and i figured she just needed some one on one time. she has a BLAST and i was reminded that i MISS having 1 on 1 time with each kid!

then we joined our neighbors for a lovely afternoon in the sun! the kids swam and we caught up. so nice having good friends who live over the fence!

and last night chris and i set this bad boy up!

it was filled this morning but will need a few days to warm up to be warm enough to swim in

chris painted the last 1/2 of the deck as well. so now all we have to do is set the gazebo back up and we are ready for summer!

i hope to get my never ending list of things to do around the house semi finished so i can head to the cabin tomorrow...im thinking next tues ill come back and the pool will be swim ready...the back yard will be summer ready and i can spend some time at the house, having friends over and enjoying the fruits of chris's hard work!

catching up!

I know! I know! im way behind in my blogs! im back at the house for the week, but ive been busy! I had a friend over on wed, and I went on a walk yesterday with another friend. its so nice to see people again! I cant wait for this virus to be over! we have a good groove at the cabin, I find I get more school done, on the days I do school. ha. I think ill wrap this yr up soon. its been the weirdest spring!

last week was junk garbage day. chris found this bbq on the side of the road, it needed some work and welding.. b\chris told nate he would do the welding if nate did the rest. so nate spent the night in the shop fixing it all up. chris posted it on Kijiji the next day and sold it for 140!!! nate was thrilled and went with chris to drop it off

snuggles!

joey is not a cuddler, ellie is! but for some reason she was all snuggly with me. I enjoyed every second of it!

and I read a book! it was a great silly book to spend the afternoon reading

last thurs I had my friend come to the cabin with her kids. we spent the whole day outside! it was SOOOO fun. we left the older 2 kids to watch the littles and aralee and I went for a walk. I found a groomed walking trail for us to enjoy
