i got ante's book order yesterday i was so happy!
there is nothing better than opening a book for it's first time. haha
i bought science for next yr but decided to start this week. they were on sale so i figured why not! i also got nate's geography, a reader, explode the code (which nate started on his own!) a money devotion to replace our almost finished unit studies, math, a book for me, haha and 2 doodle books to perk nate's curiosity to try some kind of art....and guess what??? it worked! he did 3 pages already! yeah!
i opened his science book and saw....
dr. jay wile. ha. he's the guest speaker for the conf in june. very exciting for home scholars (haha)
i ended up choosing science by apolgia. the text book can be used 2 times, once for lower elem and then again for upper. the work books are also sold 2 ways a jr addition and a reg. so far from what i've seen, i love it! and the book can be passed down to ellie
i got all of it for 110 ship including (except for math u see which i bought last week for 80)
books are very exciting for me!
wheeee off to open and start prepping for nate

Cool that Dr Wile IS involved with Apologia! I heard he wasn't anymore.....
i know eh! what is it with home educators and books????
grade 11????? that feels so far away! do you let hope choose what classes she takes?
and its been too long, we need to catch up!
Next year she will definitely have some electives that she can choose. I also let her choose her English novels or plays for study. And she has chosen her history courses in the past.
It was great to get together last night!! Loved Nate showing me all his work and reading to us!! He is one smart cookie!!!Your classroom is AWESOME!!
