i was tossing a load of laundry as i came out of the room i heard a familiar "whrrrrllllllling" noise, one that i hear often. when chris is home. but he's not home today. so i walked into the dining room and found this
nate using chris's drill
but what was he drilling?
my table center piece! he drilled holes in each candle
i asked him what was he doing?
he said "you said last day that the candles don;t float. they don't work. so i am fixing them with the drill. i am drilling holes so they will float and be a nice center piece. daddy is not home to do this. so i will fix it. i am the fixer man"
how can one argue that?
so i am out of a center piece

What about the table ? Are there holes in it too? What nerves a mom has to have......!!!!!! Wish you a lot of them... I admire how you let your young men develop and discover the world and its possibility. He will become a real skiled man. Love you all. Muetti
i yelled "MY TABLE BOY MY TABLE"
but he calmly said "i don't drill tables. i drill candles"
i would have called chris sobbing if the table was ruined. then blamed him for leaving the drill out and make him fix it. ha
then cried somemore because the icky plastic table cover/protector didn't work...haha!
and yes. chris has taught nate how to work some tools. along with all the safetly instructions and what not. the rule is he has to be with chris (or me) when he does it and nate is not allowed in the shop alone...safely first!
I am glad to hear that!Good boy, good parents!
Love Muetti
