joey again! we were THRILLED to finish her reading last week! reading did not come easy to her, we struggled and tried so many different ways. finally last i put the curriculum away and decided to just read to her...and try it again this yr...something clicked in jan and she flew through the course! she put her final gold star on her chart!
first thing she did? run to....
wait! first you knock. we told the girls they have to ALWAYS knock before they open the door (and wait to hear the "come in")
she ran to nate! who was doing his school in his room
and jumped into his arms
this makes me smile on so many levels. joey and nate have this cute bond. joey looks up to him so much and nate makes her feel included. my heart!
and i can proudly say i taught ALL my kids how to read!
ellie wanted a pic. shes doing good in her school. ellie is SOOOOOO much like my sister. im forever texting my sister questions about personality questions. ellie and cry are so much alike!
the boys had a gun safety class last wkend. they both passed with GREAT results and i took the girls to the cabin for a girl night. it was POURING rain so we stayed inside and crafted
and colored! we had snow the next day. i looked out the window to see this
joey cleaning my car. no one asked her to do it, she just did it!
while ellie spent the afternoon outside, joey set up this game. she played almost 2 hrs by herself. talking the whole time....while i read. so nice!
ellie changed her earrings!
i saw this quote and i love it. since taking the course with c.r, one area im working on is trying to understand ppl.
me! taking the girls to another class. my mom look. ha
we did lego bots. the kids create a mechanical robot from lego. they raced them and joey won!
love her hair bow!
i was doing my emails and looked over. joey was on her knees putting on make up. MY make up. haha
the newest thing around here is ROLLER BLADING! i got a pair for them, they were sharing. but i finally found another pair for ellie and now they can skate together. the first night we got them ellie had mastered it...and off she went...then it was joeys turn
ellie took her by the hand to help
by the end of it they were laughing so hard joey couldnt skate. shes laughing here
and here
and down she fell! ha her bum is covered with bruises. haha but 2 days later shes keeping up with ellie! and thats is why i was able to take an hour and blog! the girls have been outside roller blading. totally worth the 35.00!
i scored 2 pairs for the girls on marketplace for 35.00! thats their easter gift!
