school!

nate working away at finishing up his gr 8!  yikes! high school next yr!

last weekend i was closing up the house to head to the cabin when i found this fella!  he's a luna moth and we had a great time studying him!  

he kept changing colors in front of me.  and showing me his "eyes" it was so fun to watch!

we figured out he was stuck to the mesh so i got him off with a stick 

look how big his body is!

voila! free from the mesh but stuck to the stick

we set him free and off he flew!

then i went to the cabin with my kid crew to celebrate the end of a school yr!

we had friend drop by and off we went to the river.  so quiet and relaxing! 

nate and i went back to the abandoned cabin and we found a bunch of logs 

we explored but didn't find much 

chris and i went to visit this couple in the area of the cabin. we drove up to this.  very interesting! 

what is this tiny hole for?  

to climb up and see this view!
