nate and i spent the day yesterday at hopewell rocks. i left the girls with chris, so i could spend some time with my boy. i have to say it was by far, the most wonderful, fun, enjoyable trip we have taken together. i packed a bag full of food for nate and had him carry it, it was all healthy stuff and he was able to pick some stuff too. this was the BEST idea ever. every time he wanted something he just opened his pack. all the food was gone by the time we left. ha. we both really enjoyed ourselves and i was able to fill up his love tank.
at the start
it also helped that his friends were there. ha. the boys were obsessed with this volcano display
we had a tour guide do a chat and demo of the rocks and tell us interesting stuff about the rocks, he was an awesome guide, kid friendly but firm. i learned a lot as well
the kids were really well behaved
and i FINALLY found out what this is!!!! see the branch he is pulling at? its actually a fungus that kills the tree! yrs ago ppl would cut it down and use it as a broom.
the guide took us through the paths and pointed out interesting things and facts about the park
