i swear we add a science experiment each day! now we have about 3 on the go....ha....nate did the 3 beans in a bag, put in 3 different locations, cold, dark and light to watch how they grow with no soil just water....to show that seeds (bean seeds) only need warmth, water and light to grow...we check it each day and record the results
then we set off for a nature walk around the house/back yard. normally, i would have packed them up and gone to the park to do this but with a baby this yr we are sticking close to home. its easier on me! and nate knows nothing wiser
we are studying this week the different classifications of seeds and grouping them into their kingdoms. quite fascinating by the way. i never learned this in school!
nate got his specimens and we brought them in the house to record and journal
i was surprised by how many classifications we had in our own back yard!
ellie kept busy by jumping and being a cutie. she is HAPPY outside. she would live out there if i let her! seriously! she adores being with chris outside and is quite the helper for him. its adorable to watch!
school this week was back to normal! yipeeee nate was an awesome possum and got rewarded with his video games! i kept my cool and wrote him notes to go things and i didnt have to repeat myself 10,000 times a day!
once ive finished the hands on subjects with nate, the ones i have to be there for, i then make him a list of the rest of the subjects for the day and he has the freedom to work at his own pace, as long as the work is done by the time his friends get home from school....nate loves it! yeah for us and getting back on track for home education!

It's such a great help when the kids can read, eh?
I love it when I check on the girls because they are "too quiet" in their room and I get suspicious, and I find them snuggled together with Katie reading books to Maya.
I love that Katie reads to maya! so adorable, making memories together! I LOVE that nate can read! its awesome...I busted him reading his science text book today....which means im gonna have him work more independent next week...hahaha!
