so far behind!

i pulled the pics off my phone this morning and thought YIKES! im so far behind!  the winter months are flying by! which is so nice! normally they DRAG on with endless storms and cold days...this yr? its been quite warm and we've only had 2 storms.  we spend most wkends at the cabin, i tend to head up wed/thurs with the kids. loaded with school books, my books and shows to watch.  i love it out there.  ive been playing with water color, its quite fun and enjoyable.  

i had the most wonderful thought in jan and some how we made it a weekly trend, and i think that it REALLY helped with school and the loneliness of winter months ...we taken every monday off in jan and feb.  and im surprised that MORE school work is getting done and i have a day to relax, plan and prep all the lessons (i do it monday) so im not using up the weekends doing more school work.  ive also had the opportunity to have a night alone at the cabin.  2 actually, the first one i mostly painted and read...i played with painting birds and decided i suck at that. haha so i moved on to flowers

i have my friend join us every fri with the kids.  this one day we took them to the cabin we found on the land across the street.  i brought my camera to take pics.  chris discovered it awhile back. its the neatest little place. i am SO going back in the spring to investigate it more!

stove!  the oldest paper i found was from 1991. so neat! it has a lost and bed up there, a bunk bed and table.  it was a sweet little camp back in her day!

skating!

the girls have been bugging me FOREVER to take them skating, with red being lifted and we are back in orange i found a sweet rink!  our neighbors back yard! hahaha they have the best little set up.  the girls did GREAT, ellie was skating by the end of the session

they have a little parent box you can go in and heat up with a HEATER and chairs.  cant wait to go back...oh the the guy gave me BEEF JERKY!  i LOVE me some beef jerky that stuff is my crack. anyways it was a fun afternoon and the girls finally got to skate!

i looked into the school room and saw this. my heart. this is why i LOVE having the kids home.  joey was just sitting with nate while he did his work.  its neat to watch the kids interact with each other.  nate has a relationship with ellie but his relationship with joey is so cute to watch. i can see him taking joey out for drives when he has his license. so cute

now that ellie is in the top bunk, i lost my night snugger.  so ive been going to joeys bed, shes turning into a snuggle bug too!

it was a fun way to start the day and dad got to join in.  we LOVE having him work from home!

ive been slowly pecking away at the house. one thing i do that i find helpful is making lists.  after i made this one i thought of vati and his pocket to do list.  look vati!  i made a list!

so. i had a bunch of dental appointments the last 2 months.  i take ativan for them.  after the last appointment i went to mission thrift and called chris to pick me up.  i left the bag on my bedroom floor and a few days later i looked in to see what i got.  i have NO memory of what i bought. hahaha

but i got a LOAD of GREAT books! i have great taste while stoned!

it was fun to see what i got. hahaha

ahhhhhh so a good friend of mine had a keto store.  which is SWEET. we now have a space for the kdis to play while we coffee. this is turning into a weekly event.  there is nothing nicer than coffee and good talk. i miss my friends and going out. this brings a little bit of normal back to us

ellie often goes to play with jessy, leaving joey alone with me. she falls apart every time "its NOT fair! i want to play too!" so ive created "joey and mommy time"  she is warming up to being left behind as long as i play with her. ha

i was dreaming of this book but at 39.99 i would never buy it.  i found it on marketplace for 10!  score.  im 1/2 way done it

v-tine day!

math time. i hear you ellie. i hear you!  we had valentines at the cabin.  chris and i went for breakfast at the homestead and came back in the afternoon. so nice to have alone time now! we went smal this yr.

then the BEST valentine present was given to me!  chris took the kids home and i stayed at the cabin alone! i read! and watched shows....UNINTERRUPTED!!!!!!!!! this is the BEST gift of all! thanks babe! chris had a friend over to have pizza and movies with the kids.  but it was so nice to wake up to quiet.  i was home by 10, but still, it was so nice.  cant wait to do it again!
