it's all fun and games: July 2022

we took the kids to shinning waters, we thought we'd be there for a few hours....we stayed almost to closing and had to bribe the kids to leave with fries with the works and ice cream! we had such fun at this park and it was an amazing value! 22/per person for 7 hrs of fun! there was an amusement and water park. we did the rides first then spent the rest of the day at the water park....a HUGE thank you to the older kids (quinn!!!) for taking ellie and joey with you so aunty and i could read/sleep

wed was another rain day so we went back to ch'town. the boys took off on their own for the day and joey spent her grading money....she bought pop its and left the island with 8 dollars

the last day we took the boys and charlie to sandspit where i learned i got OLD and cant do spinning rides!

it was fun to revisit the parks where i use to hang out when i was nates age

we hit up another board walk for food and fun

and spent the last night doing what we did every night....sitting around the huge table eating crap food and laughing....so glad to make this trip with the family. it was seriously the best....even though we shared 1 bathroom and i slept on the top bunk in the room with the girls...hahaha

im off to hali tomorrow for another week but i hope to be home for a bit to catch up on life/building the addition/unpacking.....and enjoying the land!

we beat the crowds and headed to the island last week. the first 3 nights there was 11 ppl in a 3 bedroom cabin! it was loud! stuffed with ppl! but we mostly all got along and i had a great trip. it was exactly what i needed! we took 2 cars. the girls in 1 and my parents with the boys in the other. the husbands stayed home....there was NO way chris would agree to that many ppl in such a small place. normally we stay in the summerside area but this time we went to the north shore and i truly enjoyed the trip!

the beach was about a 5 min walk or a 2min drive. we spent as much time as we could there

the first ful day was a rain day! so what do we do? shopping! ellie was offically in the "big kid club" and went with charlie/quinn/nate while joey stayed with aunty and i....sniff....sniff....ellies growing up too fast!
