it's all fun and games: January 2019

school!

last week was the weirdest week! with me not feeling well, and the non-stop ice storms, we had a hard time finding a routine! so much, that ellie asked to do her school at the table. we did! and we were done in less than an HR! ellie worked on my right

my HUGE coffee cup and i were in the middle and

joet set herself up on my left. nate was working on his youtube videos. this set up worked really well! for 2 days, then we went back to the school room

we are starting lesson 3 this wk on her preschool stuff. she LOVES it.

with the ice storms, the roads were not drivable. chris worked from home a few days, and was home every night. which was SOOOO nice! thurs night he fixed our dishwasher. joey wouldn't leave him alone

i LOVE putting the girls to bed and finding their play antics. i found this. joey!!!

play!

we hit up air heads on thrs afternoon in the middle on an ice storm. that will tell you how DESPERATE us moms were to get together and chat. hahaha the roads were SO bad, sheets of ice, but we made it. ha the place is closing next week so its our last time to jump

there is NOTHING more awesome than a 4 hr activity with over 30 kids and not. one. fight. us moms were very proud of the kids!

so fun!

joey snapped this one of me. haha. i was listening to a friend tell us about her marathon training. her hubby is training her for a 50 KM marathon for june. her training schedule is crazy! i told her il will come and cheer her on!

fri night chris went to the cabin. i played about 10 hands of skip bo! haha then snuggled with this cutie and went to bed!

i started this book on fri and finished it late sat night. EXCELLENT. ill pass it on to you cry.

sat i hung with the kids and read. i found this dino dressed for the cold

LOVE it. ha. ursi, this is the baby hat you knitted for ellie! i still have it. and will pass it on to my girls when they have their babies

sat afternoon i took the kids to meet up with daddy at the cabin for supper and to stay the night. after supper was over, i ran to my room to finish my book. ha

it was the BEST sleep ive had in a long time. i slept from 11-8:30 am! i woke up feeling SO much better. we chilled in the morning, then i left around noon to get groceries and come home. alone. im at the HOUSE ALONE!!! its amazing!. ha, i finished school prep and book club, made supper for myself, ate ALONE. in silence. and im feeling so much better! chris said he will be home around 6! yipeee! 6 HRS alone!!!!

us!

nana plumps! skip-bo is a HUGE hit around here, i play at least 8 ROUNDS of this game. EVERY. DAY! we even taught joey to play....but lasts about 6 mins...

so. serious...

chrs went to the cabin fri night, i stayed home with the kids. its kinda counter-productive to take the kids to the cabin while chris is trying to accomplish a task....so its just easier to "stay home" the kids had a party om sat to go to

the "french"kids on our street+ the eigenhheers! lol

i really enjoyed myself, the party was 3.5 hrs long, and i loved catching up with my frenchies on the st, even thou i home school haha

then it was time to go HOME, put an over tired joey to bed. and play more skip-bo!

then chris came home around 8, which is SUPER early. i was kinda bummed about not being able to go to the cabin because of the storm that was coming. chris came home and we talked about me being bummed, then looked again at the weather report...at at 9 PM!!!! we decided to just GO to the cabin!!! the weather storm report changed for the storm to start sun morning...so i packed a fast GO bag. got the kids up and we went to the cabin for the night!!!

the morning was a "quick, get up and GO before the snow started" joey packed her blanket and bible. my heart!

i LOVED my night at the cabin

SNOW! then we got home in time for the real snow and ice...sob....sob....so much ICE!!!!

silly girls!

mon was a SNOW day. i woke up not feeling well, i told the girls they did NOT have to do school IF they kept busy playing with NO screens while i rested...and they DID. they turned the picnic table upside down and it was a boat, a ship, a house, a puppy kennel and an animal hospital...

and im not sure what joey was doing here, BUT she was cute so i took a pic

while ellie, nate and i played MORE skip-bo. i watched joey play. SO cute. she takes such great care of her babies

with her puppy purse. i love watching her play

tues morning we woke up to another snow day! chris went to work, but pretty much everything else in town was closed. i was still not feeling well, so we rested..and read...and played more games. i was in awe of the beauty of the ice....i tried to snap pics of the ice gleaming off the trees/trampoline/power poles

then i came down to this. sigh. joey eating breakfast, with her bible open, while playing skip-bo with her sis

the start of the wk!

looked like this. i LOVE finding little puppies and babies, that i didnt know i had. ha. being taken care of in my home. haha

monday we did some free style painting. free style =i had NO plan, i gave them paper and paint and GO!

i made roast beef sunday, and monday i made frejch onion soup for the broth of the roast beef. SO good!

sigh. this is why i dont like cooking. i have to clean up after!

tues we did life and school. no pics. wed we played "school" haha im babysitting my neighbors kid while she goes back to work and is in between daycares. the girls thought it was so weird to go to the bus stop. hahaha
