fri!

 Sooooo.....to make a LONG story short.  chris started over a month ago to take me to the cabin for a night, and have my parents come up to watch the kids.  which is AWESOME. but he forgot 1 teeny, tiny detail.....to tell my parents it was a surprise....i talk to my sister daily by text, and at least 3 times a wk on phone....which lead me to figuring out thurs night that my parents were coming the next day.  it was suppose to be a surprise BUT im glad it wasnt!  normally, my house is clean and company ready but this past wk, being so busy, it WASN'T! and i had made plans for the wkend based on what chris told me....blah. blah!  so when i found out what the REAL plan was. i FREAKED. i was NO where NEAR ready to drop my kids off and leave for the weekend!  when i found out the plan, i spent the next 24 hrs, washing, cleaning, cooking and preparing...so when my parents came on fri, i was ready to LEAVE!

and i did!  clear headed.  chris and i went out for dinner.  no pics, i was so relaxed, i didnt take a single pic!  SOOOOOO fun!!

then chris and i headed to the cabin with out the kids. THANK YOU mom and dad!!!!!!!!!

fri night, we chilled and went to bed early

sat we woke up. we had coffee. then i pulled out the mops, vacuumed, dry mop and spent 2 HOURS cleaning the upper level.. i finished around 1, then we went to lunch

we discovered this AMAZING Italian restaurant.  when i went in, i said to chris i know this guy!  he's a success story from teen challenge,  remember a few week ago i volunteered at the gala?  his desserts FLEW out the cost, averaging 400 per cake.   i told chris he went to teen challenge a few yrs back, got clean.  then met a gal, got married and opened a restaurant. the restaurant is STUPID successful (but with god ALL things are successful) normally food is not something i rave about....but chris and i decided to just order what we thought we would like.  chris got the chicken parm.  i ordered this funky pizza.  after out wait this came out...

 my LOADED. and i mean LOADED pizza. the crust was less than '1/4, then there was a good 1/2" of CHEESE, then chicken, tomatoes, mozza, goat cheese, artichokes and spinach. SOOOOO good

 chris with his chicken parm.  but i have to admit, and he will too....that i are A LOT of his meal. the pasta was out of this world, the sauce was homemade ( i dipped my pizza in it) and the chicken???  AMAZING!!!!

after we stuffed ourselves, we came back to the cabin to spent the next 4 hours cleaning. i wish i took before and after pics....

 when i started there was 1/2" of dust and drywall on the floor

 after i cleaned sat night. i opened a can of coke, poured a bowl of chips, unpacked ursi's blanket and curled up on the couch to start my newest book

 the book is AMAZING. the blanket?  made with love is more cozy and i totally enjoyed my night at the cabin after a day of hard work!

we met up with my parents around 4 today.  THANK you mom and dad for coming and giving us 2 NIGHTS with out kids.  i slept. and cleaned. and slept.  im blessed THANK YOU
and thank you chris for planning this for me! ha

and im off, a bit behind, to start another week!  YIKES!!!!

p.s...i hope to finish the book this week and ill tell you mom what the secret is!
