just a walk in the park

after the wilson clan left this am, we decided to spend the morning out side in the glorious, fall weather...we left for a park that i normally visit but take the "red" trails (easy-peasy walking) today we decided to take the "yellow" trail (off the beaten path, through the woods/trees/water) we had.a.blast. so. much. funness!

nate lead the way!
just a typical water shot
nate found this hole in the bridge, he spent 10 mins filling it with fallen leaves and what not's. chris and i spent the time chatting and enjoying the weather...
then nate came over, grabbed my hand and insisted on me helping him "stir the stuff" with a stick...
so i did
in the middle of the woods we found a bench. after watering the trees we stopped for a snack (i though ahead and packed a lunch) and ate in the grand out doors
then nate asked chris to take a picture of us two. awww. seriously! he asked! i love my boy!
then it was daddy's turn
and nate lead the way over the streams
me
reading another map
what ever (so bored!)
checking the colorage of the leaves
chris showing nate something
we had SO much fun. seriously. i adore this stage! he can walk for 3 hours, keep up, have fun, stay un cranky and enjoy being with us...and carry his own bag. haha. i love having a boy child! i can not wait for our next wood excursion!

it's irish town park! it's 8 mins from my house. i discovered a new trail last night, i did a quick jaunt through it and plan on bringing chris and nate back to it. it's 5 mins from my house and is in the woods. love it! we should bundle the kids up and go!
