it's all fun and games: July 2018

the girls!

its a GREAT book when you fall asleep 1/2 way though it. ha

life is just GREAT for this girl!

with hot, humid weather this week, MANY hours were spent at the splash pad!

and the pool!

fri morning ellie knocked on my door. showing up with this. my breakfast tray
a granola bar, a chocolate and a bowl of fishes and crackers. a breakfast for a queen!

served on the used cooking sheet from last night's ribs

we all enjoyed it and ate it all!

i sent this pic to chris. he didnt get it. but i wanted to take a pic to remember. it was pouring rain. and i mean POURING. the girls spent a good 30 mins jumping on the trampoline.. with their boots and rain coats on. i sat and watched from inside the house. reminding myself that these days will end soon....

seriously. can life be any better? bathed, cleaned, ready for bed. late night peppa pig!

nate!

fri i took the girls to 3! splash pads! they had so much fun!

then we got the call, the one we have been waiting for all week! time to pick up nate! we drove to port elgin and picked this dude up!
5 mins on the highway, joey was OUT and i mean out for the count!

ellie stayed awake to meet nate!

she loves him so much!

he was gone from home for 3 weeks. 2 wks with out me. he missed us and we missed him! SO glad to have you home buddy! 0 comments

sunday pt 1

this is how we roll. the girls wanted to wear this to church. i was like. cool!

i think they looked fly!

after church, chris and i were teaching/helping in church kids class. we came home, i packed up lunch and supper and we hit the road to the cabin.

we got to the land. joey was like this...have you ever felt this tired? haha

i saw this!

pt 2

what? look up!
this crazy crew did this! ha

i spent most of my afternoon in my bug free hammock. we had a fire, we ate. i rested. then we found this!

the locals swimming hole!

we were tipped off about this place. and went out to find it

and man, it was AWESOME. 7 mins from our land. and we met up with some locals and our neighbors!

and we swam!

and jumped

and ellie, FINALLY over came her fear. and jumped too!

and was rewarded with ice cream after

she DID it!

joe had no problem jumping. this was peanuts to nate. he jumped from the bridge. my brave oldest boy!

i was there too!

i took this from the top of the bridge. in the middle, where nate jumped into, was well over chris's head!

up the river

such an awesome spot. i found 3 different fire pits so im guessing its a popular spot to hang out. we will be back for sure, and ill even have my swim gear on!

lamp!

so, i got this lamp awhile back to use at the cabin, and while i was cleaning nates room out, i realized that he doesnt have a lamp! i went and got and and spent...45mins!...putting it together. sure. chris could have done it in 5, but i did it!

and your room is ready for you to come home nate!.. when ever you feel like. it. hahaha
