it's all fun and games: November 2020

remembrance day!

step and i hosted a paint class for remembrance day, it was a HUGE success! i was able to connect with a few newbies and chat with my homies. this time i taught the older kids. i did 2 paintings and both turned out really nice...the kids did a great job on theirs as well!

after a drop off of the n and j, i took ellie out on a date. because it was remembrance day, everything was closed so we settled with mcdee's. i turned to look at little miss ellie and saw this! haha the one thing she does from me. everything else is my sister!

we had a good time, i like spending time with each of my kids one on one. to get to know them. they are growing so fast! and soon they will be gone!

thurs i was doing school with joey on the couch and i looked over to see this. yes, the girls were wearing shorts and tank tops in NOVEMBER! it was so hot last week! anyways, little miss ellie sitting in my chair....

cabin

chris took last thurs and fri off. we packed up to the cabin for a few days of relaxing. it was SOOOO nice. i loaded my ipad with movies and chilled. i slept, and enjoyed my family. i didnt spend the whole time cooking and cleaning, i had n and c step in and help. it was such an enjoyable weekend. we left feeling refreshed!

we decided to take a walk on fri on the upper back lot of our property. a guy is clearing the trees and we wanted to see whats going on. i was blown away by how many trees he already cut. he also cleared the road so its walk able and i can snow shoe on it once the snow hits

then heard the saws going so we stopped by and said hi! we met his son and had a great chat!

then we went to find the rock and "eigenheer island"

on our way back, it was getting dark! we ran into les again and had another chat with him. he let the kids climb all over his tractor and wood piles

they had a blast!

sat was hair cutting day! nate had to get his hair cut for cadets. i actually really liked his long hair! but the army says "cut!" so we did

it took her 6 yrs to grow her hair this long. she has really fine, thin hair

after hair cuts chris and i went in to town for a date. we ended up going to wendys. haha

ellie LOVES her little piggies. she is forever with them. we found her in the front room reading to fluffy! these poor pigs put up with a lot of handling!

after the weekend we headed to the house for a BUSY week!

life!

so excited for the YUM box! this time we visited italy!

yum! yum!

mon i was working away with ellie on her school. i look over and saw this. joey cleaning the windows. she ended up cleaning ALL the windows in the house and did a good job! it was a huge help for me. she wasnt asked and she did it all on her own. her love language is acts of service for sure.

mon afternoon was movie time! we had the kids gather for a movie while us moms talked in the other room. i am sooooo blessed to have my group of friends. what support they are

tues was school, then swimming!

joey is doing quite well. i think she will be able to take the test in the new yr and pass!

i llove the fun things i find on my phone. haha

last night joey was telling me about her "marriage ring" that she wants she described what she wanted. then went and made a picture of what she wanted. ellie joined in. this is ellie's engagement ring

as joey sat and cut she talked away. as she was cutting she saw saying that she wanted to get married and have a wedding ring then she got quiet.

put down her sissors and layed her head on her arms and burst into tears!!!!

i said "joey! whats is the matter??? what's wrong?"

she says " i want to get married but i wont get to live with you anymore and ill be so sad, i dont want to move away from you" so we talked and came up with an agreement that she will live with me with her husband after she gets married

then ellie pipes in and says "but mom will die one day you know"

yikes! full on melt down! i ended up taking her upstairs to console her and i told her that ill be around for awhile....then she told me that i can live with her when i am old and she will take care of me, and read me books and give me coffee" deal! i will live with joey forever!
