i dropped by the house thurs before i left and i saw the lovely framing in the basement. whee. we have almost walls!

fri. the basement frame was done. the main level was started. garage is on the right. the family room is on the left. 
back end f the house. on the left is the rec room, the patio doors will be the dining room and the right will be the kitchen. we are taking the window out on the right. i wanted more cupboard room and will add lighting to make up for the lack of natural light. also, the sink will be facing the dining room. so i won't be staring at a blank wall when i am at the sink!

basementso the house is starting to come together. they got a lot done over the weekend. now i have to start picking stuff!!
my sis and i got back yesterday from our super crazy weekend away. we shopped like mad fools. we drove 2 days to shop for 1! it was nuts! i got a few good deals but most important i was able to hang out with my sis, talk, laugh, share and pretend we were young again with no kids. the amount of ice cream that was eaten will remain a secret. what happened in the states will stay in the states. no worries. we will be back!!
