this is NOT cooking!my biggest annoyance or pet peeve is finding a recipe or a pic of something that looks Divine and i must bake it at once....and as i check the recipe out i discover to my sheer and utter grievance that it's a FAKE BAKE!
i am finding it increasingly difficult to discover new recipes from SCRATCH. no box! no fakery! seriously!
i love me my kraft canada but they are the WORST for baking from a box!
am i like the last of the old school bakers? i do not do boxes. i bake from scratch. old school. with *gasp* real ingredients!
(i have used boxes in the past, if i am in a pinch for time but i do much prefer old school baking)
i just don't get the box. i open it, there is power, it's suppose to be food? ingredients? what is it??? then you add eggs/oil/water and voila! food??? really??? i find it creepy and freaky to eat it....i don't know what i am eating...

what started this vent? i have a large amount of lemons to use up, i am trying to find a recipe to use, i finally found a pic of this delightful looking lemon poppy seed bunt bake and to my annoyance i discover it's a BOX mix!
blah!
off to find a real recipe!

Just don't ask your mother-in-law how she got the cute bunny faces in her sugar cookies.... She will think you are crazy for never having Pilsbury cookies. We laugh about it now, but man that was so awkward! And her lovely son has not ever let me forget about it.
Also NEVER try the fudgy something or other from Costco. They had them for sampling, and taste so good that you wouldn't care what crap they put in there... JK.
