thurs was spent in lock down, which is hard bec the kids want to go outside and play! so keeping them in was a challenge. what was errie was my empty back yard....no kids, no life, so sad
we woke up friday am and the first question out of nates mouth was "did they catch the bad guy?" i said YES! and nate headed out to play (schools were cancelled) but was saddened when he opened the door....it was raining!!!
but it wasn't so bad, nana and papa come in the afternoon to watch the kiddos while chris and i headed off to our 4th home educators conf!
we had a good time, i was disa pointed that i spent 5.00 on books, there was nothing on my list for sale and the few items i saw were highly priced. i look at it this way, if you are selling a USED book that it OVER 5 yrs old (most are 10) by the time my last child will use it, it will be outdated and no much good for me....so if this book is being sold used for 15.00 BUT i can buy it BRAND new for 25.00, im gonna pop the extra 10 and buy it NEW
i went to the conf with a good list of what i am looking for for next yr. unfortch the vendors that i wanted to talk to weren't there so im gonna have to use the Internet and order from their site with out looking at the books. oh well...
chris and i did connect with new ppl, made new friendships and were able to chat with others who are like us. ha. chris was also voted on the henb board, which adds to our plate of things to do...but thats ok, its something that we are called to do, right?
now that conf is done, i will spend my week finishing up nates school plan for next yr, order the new books, put away his gr 1, organise his school cart, and lay out the plan for him to finish school next week or shortly after....wish me luck on that!
then, we are setting ellie up in her new room, with nate! cleaning out her stuff, to make room for baby #3! then re set the nursery up! crazy!
i have about 6 wks until the baby comes and much to do!
life is full with good things!
the prop table i set up for the photo booth for the fri night ladies chat. this time im keeping the props! usually i mail them off to quinn to play with but these bad boys took a lot of time to make! sorry quinn!
dessert table. i kept it simple, simple, simple! the cheese cakes were AWESOME!
happy monday everyone!
