our days in pics

shannon, this is for you. the other night after supper nate ran to get a bowl to "save this for weston's dad to take to the chickens"
sorry to say i did toss them out after nate went to bed. i hope those chickens got fed. ha!

i am working on a costume for the boys. this is me being creative. i painted the above, then added some sparkles, cut them out

and voila

but i want matching t's and prefer pants. i also want to get red gloves and red shoe covering. i am thinking those feather boas...or something

nate finally got why you DON'T THROW ROCKS

he threw a rock in the air and cracked his head

we were too lazy to take him to the emer for stitches, it would have been hours to wait so we improvised. super glue!

and it worked

so far

the rock nate threw

(i kid about the super glue)
no stitches were required

i found this in the play room this morning

nate told me the v is an a because he could not find an a

good boy!

all those hrs in front of sesame street are paying off!

again. i kid. he doesn't watch s. street

arts and crafts

good mood chris

bad mood chris

he's such a great guy! he was sewing the top to the gazebo. it is officially bug proof. no bugs getting in our tent!

nate has FINALLY embraced making things. thanks to vbs, he now wants to make things!

project 1. he did it ALL by himself. i am SO proud and forgot to take a pic. it's a memo pad holder. very cute. trust me

it's allover the Internet but i wanted to try it myself. so i did. it cost 2 bucks

take crayons. glue them to a canvas

use hair dryer to melt

dry it and voila. instant art!

it was fun

project 3. a monster friend. nate is going through the "monsters are everywhere" phase and i thought it would be good to help him get over by making a monster friend

so we took 2 of chris's old, outdated and ug shirts

ripped them up

see. ripped them all up

then tied them on a hanger

made a mouth

voila. monster friend to hang in his room to make it all better when i am not there

grrrrrrrrrr monster

nate helped with all the projects!

some funny nate things

he was eating pizza and the cheese was hot so he spit it out and yelled "it was SO hot it started a fire in my mouth"

followed with "i am so shocked about this"

and with that i am logging off the blog until tues. so have a great long weekend, enjoy your the last of this summer. i plan on it!
