moon space craft

 yesterday i had nate make a lunar spacecraft that could land smoothly on the moon.  i gave him random items and he was to construct a space craft that would land 2 astronauts on the moon with out hurting them. we used 2 pom poms for our men
 he had to make it so it would land smoothly when dropped from 2', 4' and 6'.  he came up with this!  a paper plate with a cup taped to it, straws for it to land on and some paper, cotton balls to make it land smoothly
voila! it worked, this is how it landed from 4'.  not bad buddy, i gave him a A+....yeah right i dont give grades.  he got a high 5 and a hug.  perfect currency around here!
