2 wk jo!

this little bundle of joy is 2 wks old today!!!

and i made it to my 2 wk nursing goal! wheeeeeeeeeee  so far ive had to sub with formula a few times, not bec i was out but bec i was exhausted!  and chris has been taking jo at night so i can sleep, so 2 feeds during the night shes formulated

we are all adjusting well.  nate is fine, the baby hasnt messed with his life of playing and riding his bike and bugging me for food. ha hes actually been a huge help around the house, cleaning up for me and getting things i need when nursing, he takes ellie out to play with his friends when shes getting harry. such a huge help he is. he is also reward with new privileges like staying up late, more freedom and video games haha his love language

ellies been the challenge. not because of her attitude or the "terrible 2's" but because of her age, shes still too young to understand but not a baby anymore.  she loves the baby. you can hear her all over the house yelling "HI NANANA" which means hi johana! ha  ive noticed she is starting to challenge me or outright disobey me while i am nursing jo, she knows i cant immediately correct her behavior and gets away with it for a few more seconds.  i have to unlatch jo, put her down, then go deal with ellie, who then gets upset and then upsets jo and then i have 2 screaming kids on  my hand. NOT fun but i know this will pass and i tell myself that. a lot. haha

baby jo is such an easy baby! shes still in her sleepy newborn stage of sleeping 20 hrs a day. shes fallen into a sleep pattern from the hospital, wakes around 2 and 4 am for feeds. not too bad.  i nurse every 2.5 hrs during the day except for sat, where i nursed her every HOUR. growth spurt!  we go to the dr tomorrow for her weigh in and check up. ive been weighing her at home so  i know shes about 3 oz shy of her birth weight, not bad compared to the other 2.  ill see what the dr says tomorrow...

chris is doing awesome. i can tell hes starting to get bored and harry and looking for projects to keep himself busy with. ha

im good. tired but happy. i love my 3 kids and i love that we stepped out of the "2 kid per family" norm.  ive learnt a lot about myself and that i can do it.  hormones haven't crashed yet, a few times they have left me crying over nothing, but nothing big.  in the past they normally tank around 6 wks, with my milk supply so im watching for that!
last night, after feed, late night snuggles
i love her

so thankful i am!
