my girls are in LOVE with horses, mini or reg, it doesn't matter! but getting them BOTH in a class that doesnt require me to re-mortgage my house hasn't happened! until this yr! now that jo is "kinder age" she can join in with her sis...we got a GREAT deal at a local horse stable. the class is NOT about "riding" which is the most common, sought out horse activity, BUT the class is about learning about horses, and mini's! how to take care of them, work, exercise, feed, brush and ride them. normally this stable does NOT allow kids in, but with a home school group and moms on hand, they welcomed us and let us in. i signed my girls up for 6 wks of horse school. today was the first class
how did it go? omg, they LOVED it. from learning how to run the horses...
to getting on the saddle (im fearing the girls will want horse back riding classes soon! )
and its way more than just jumping on the saddle. its a science to the horse!
lots of stretching!
and voila. ellie is on "wonky george"
ha
then it was time to learn how to lead a horse
the girls with the teacher
more leading
this horse totally got my heart. no clue what her name is, she just took to me and i petted her!
then we found this horse! its name is ellie, but they call her ellie-belly! so i had to take a pic!
ellie (the horse) is a private lodger, but they made an exception and allowed us all to visit and pet ellie the horse because ellie eigenheer was there. haha (ok, i was there too, watching over)
ellie with ellie the horse!
then it was time for a quick lesson on horse care
the kids were able to get brushes on a 1, 2, 3 level. joey started on level 1, but jumped to join her sis on level 2!
joey was so into the horse care
ellie and her friend gracey
more girl fun
