we havent been able to get to the cabin, storms and commitments. we decided to go fri for just the night. we wanted to check on it to make sure everything was ok; which turned out to be a GREAT idea. we left the coffee machine on! it burned out all the water and it could have caught on fire if we left it longer! so we made the mental note to now unplug all the appliances when we leave!
we did not bring the tracker, not knowing what the roads would be like. so we left the van at the end of the driveway and walked in...so beautiful!
SO cold! it was -18! and for n.b that is COLD!
but it was the best 24 hrs away! i slept, watched movies and even went for a walk with chris at -20! so cold!
we even found a porcupine hidden away. we saw lots of tracks and such. it was so enjoyable. we packed up sat around 4 and headed back to the house. we hope to go again this wkend for longer!
we woke sun to a snow storm! i woke chris up and told him, in a nice and kind way, that he had to get up and get ready for church...to drive me! ha. i was teaching and i didnt want to drive, it was SO nasty out! but we got there and back...
and chris spent the afternoon blessing our neighbors by blowing out their driveways...with his tractor and bike helmet! ha
another snowy sunday!
and with that, im making supper for my crew and a few tag-a-longs....i cant wait for summer!
