pt 2

 reading her words!!!

 this term joey is working on her math u see primer.  which she loves.  she gets to color, play with blocks and count.  why wouldnt you love that? ha  shes doing quite well and should be done before the end of the yr
we are also using handwriting with out tears

 and FINALLY, after spending the last 4 months working on phonics and learning her letters, i took the jump into all about reading. level one

she LOVED it!  i was thrilled.  she is not reading yet. im ok with that.  but on monday i got a revelation!  books are too overwhelming for her! so i pulled out the AAR flash cards, have her 4 and made a game out of it....she read 12 cards all by herself!  so im going to keep working at her pace and follow her lead as much as it freaks me out! 

 we are working through this book as well, on the days that she is focused. ha

 spelling is on the list as well..again on the days that shes good to go

 joey is LOVING the program.  she gets to color, cut, glue and play a game.  im totally ok with it. shes reading!  by thursday she was reading 20 word cards!  she has a super short attention span, so when she's on, i work her a bit harder but on the days she not feeling it, we just chill and stay in the routine of doing school...but she sure does love her crafts and art!
