we began our trek last sunday back to the cabin, with the mini back hoe in tow. we were expecting some weather on new yrs and we knew we needed to be blown out the next day....off we went...i followed chris in my car, a bit nervous about this voyage...the first time towing the tracker in the trailer with the van, in snow BUT we have new tires....
joey fell asleep on the way....and guess what? NO problem at all with the towing, both there and back!
new years eve, i went to call my sis. im often walking around holding my phone trying to get a signal from the cabin. guess what??? i found 2 bars of cellular just in front of the cabin!!! i sat on the trailer and talked to my sister for almost an hour! then this perfect snow flake fell on my jacket. how cool is that?
i did sit outside and freeze! ha
new yrs eve! the original plan was to have friend up....12 ppl plus us! 17 ppl! stay over night at the cabin, but unfortach my kids got sick 2 days before...so i notified our friends about the sickness situation. one family dropped out bec they are leaving the country in a few wks and would rather not get sick. the other family still came so we went ahead with our plans....to cook our turkey in a garbage can. think of a pig roast. ha shortly after they arrived, the snow started to fall, so chris made a shelter for us and the turkey
