jon & jess's place

jonathan and jess are now living in blackville, a teeny, tiny mini town in the country. i refer to it as "little house in the prairie, 2009" it's about a 2 hr drive up north from moncton, 1/2 from miramichi. jon is working for corrections canada at renouse (sp?) a med security prison doing tec work. it's the job that chris did in sasky. jess just graduated from and is a welder, doing the tec/comp side of it. the plan was for her to work but after taking the last month or so to settle into her new home, she is rather loving her new job as a staw (stay at home wife) she has been working around the property, fixing things up, planting gardens etc...
their house is beautiful, settled in the heart of cottage country, surrounded by trees and lots of privacy. there house is on a water front, with their own water access. i adore their home. love the property. i am beyond green with envy. i love, love, love their place!!

the above pic was taken from the front balcony. the house is situated on a hill, with the front end facing the water and a porch that wraps around. i had my morning coffee sitting on the porch, watching the water.
this is the private, tree covered lane that leads to the house...that would be nate walking in the rain...splashing in every puddle

splash, splash (i am aware that he is covered in head to toe in camouflage)
view of the left of the river, through the trees
front view (the pastor of their church lives across the river)
view to the right of the river
a small part of their back yard. those would be our tents...jess told me she is tearing up the gardens and making a new one with walking paths through it. i told her she should do an octagon shaped garden, with flowers on the outside and veggies in the middle with walking paths

more trees to the left of the property

back end of the house, with the porch and stacked wood.
they plan on getting married in a gazebo close to the water (ok, my idea...when they bought the place i told them they should scrap the destination wedding and get hitched at their place...build a gazebo and have jess walk down from the house on a path, lit with candles at dusk to meet jon...once a wedding planner, always a wedding planner)
i had such a great time. i can't wait to go back.
thanks for the lovely vacation jon and jess!
