christmas fun!

how many boys does it take to move a tree? haha. i walked in the room and found them like this
treeness
very, very simple this year. i was SO laxed about my christams decorating, i even let nate help me decorate the tree! he was actually a HELP and not ummm an annoyance?! ha. we spent the day, literally decorating the tree. i sent chris to the store to get me more lights. i have over 2000 lights on this bad boy!
mantleness...minus candles...or holders....cough....told you i am SO chilled this yr!
archway with advent
the very first yr we got married we started 2 traditions. out of a joke really but they have stayed and i love them!
christmas tradition #1
ugly tree ornament- chris and i go to a store, pay FULL price (that's the fun) but it has to be under 10 bucks (i am cheap) we have to AGREE and pick the UGLIEST, TACKIEST, "what the heck were they thinking????" ornament we can find and we put it front and center on the tree when we get home. the ornament stays there until the tree goes down. then it moves to the back of the tree to join the others. we have so much fun doing this. we laugh and laugh and enjoy ourselves. this yr i am going to mark them with the date so we can remember in our old age what decoration goes with what year
the red bird, in a cage, with red feathers. from 2008

the bright blue feather thingy from 2004
tradition #2
we buy the sears collector animal with the date on the foot. we have 1 for every year. the stores actually ran out for this yr in NOVEMBER. moncton AND halifax are out! but i did happen to order 1 online and it should be in this week. and i found out that if they are still tagged and in mint condition, they are worth $$$$...i just kept the tags on to see if they go up in price over the yrs! haha
smile! i got this!
then i said "cookies and cheese"
and i got this one!
chris's attitude while helping me decorate
and he did help me with the lights and put the tree together, then push it in the corner. i did the rest myself, including bringing the tree up from the basement...he did how ever help me with working on my own attitude while putting up with him
haha
we did work out some more of the swiss vs canadian traditional differences and he did come around and have a good attitude at the end and he did and does enjoy and like the christmasyness of the house and how clean it is
outside decor. haha. i did like nothing. there is my wonderful wreath and 2 mini trees...ha
please note the side window and chris's finger
done with the decorating and i did not cry once! wheee!

Real mature Chris, anyone that would do that to ruin a picture has a really bad attitude.... LOL
