ymca!

we spent the entire morning at the y. it was crazy fun! and i am exhausted! first it was free play in the pool. which is HUGE for me because
1-i HATE water
2-i HATE being cold
3-i HATE swimming
4- i HATE being cold, changing and waering cold bathing suites (or as jon would say "babe-ing" suits)
but i took nate, for fun play. he had a blast. i froze, shivered, pruned up and watched my skin get white and wrinkly. then we got cleaned up and hit the gym
ok. the gym is a good size and inside was the largest indoor, castle bouncy thingy i have ever seen
nate's eyes got huge, he grabbed my hand and said "mommy, can i go in there?"
and he did. he spent a good 30 mins running all thought it, over it...then he moved on to the gym part. there was at least 10 bikes/trikes, pushy toys, gym mats, floor mats, toys, hoops, balls etc...he was beyond thrilled...he ran and ran and ran some more
then he saw
the soccer ball. which he ran, kicked it and ran some more back and forth, back and forth for at least 15 mins...
after having....2 pcs of toast, 2 glasses of milk, 1 apple, 1 bowl of cereal, yogurt and a cookie for lunch...he's resting on the couch and i *cross fingers* that he will nap in a few
2.5 hrs at the y! totally worth it! i am taking him back to the toys and tots program. who needs daycare/preschool? i think i have changed my mind. i can keep him at the y, get all these programs, i get to go and watch him for LESS than daycare/preschool programs...wheeee
i so feel a wee bit guilty that i blew off a day of house cleaning to play...oh well...he's only this age once and i want to enjoy it!
sorry no pics. i forgot it and they are not allowed
