mommy and dolly
first ever family pic
after taking 20 pics, these 2 were the best. ha
sunday we all went to church, together as a family. we looked picture perfect!
but this is MY blog and i share everything.....let the truth shine so ill share what really happens when you attempt church, during nap time with a new born and company
nate was acting up during the photo session, which lead to chris raising his voice at him and nate reacting and escalating into drama
we get into the van and we all did make peace with each other
then jo screamed the whole way to church , she doesnt like the car seat
then we got settled into church and ellie had a BLAST with the live music, my little one has a calling of music on her life, she danced, worshiped and raised her hands. so cute and touching to watch
then nap time comes and ellie is not in bed. anyone with little ones who need sleep will understand and relate to this. those who dont have kids or have kids who dont nap, can judge all ya want....but my daughter needs her nap, she melts down, fast around 12 if shes not able to sleep...when she naps she naps 2.5-3 hrs....anyways, dad took her to the little ones lounge because she was being 2, i got a tap on my shoulders a few mins later from a friend, telling me to go up and check on e. she was melting.....so after 45 mins of being at church, while taking 2 hrs to get ready to go. ha. i packed up ellie and jo and dad brought me home....bec ellie was late getting to bed, she napped for 45 mins and woke up miserable and spent the remainder of the day that way....sigh....
chris and i also got into a spat, in the little ones lounge that ended up leading to a huge argument. BUT that was resolved yesterday and good did come from that. not just good but a major turning point in our relationship, who would have thought that?
so, when you see a family picture of everyone smiling and looking the part, esp us, on sunday when they called us up to the front to show our little baby off. just remember every family picture has a real story behind it
sunday was fun. i learnt so much....
-.like ellies needs her sleep and sure its an inconvenience for now but it wont be like this forever and its worth the sacrifice
-chris and i discovered a huge hole in our marriage, something that we can fix! but with life it easily sneaked up on us
-spending just a few mins each day with god, is vital! sat i read a verse i never saw before, and it needed it the next day
-patience. i have not lost my patience in over 2 weeks. not once. i started using a softer voice, firm when i need it, but no more yelling, patiently speaking to ellie the same thing over and over with out losing my temper....this is ONLY possible because of god
-i miss my church family! i was surprised by how church worship is important, even thou its not possible for me to go every sunday for this season alone, i miss it! i miss the family feeling. its still there mind you, just not as strong
hows that for honesty?!?!?!
