veggie and flower garden

(nate went right to the dirt pile)



we woke yesterday to the startling revelation



one should not stain a deck right after it's built



so then we stopped and pondered "what shall we do today?"



we settled on the veggie garden!


and off we went. we dug out the garden, it was rough going. the clay was rough and mixed with lots of rocks!

nate then found the hose and watered the grass, after a round of soccer

this is for you vati. i know it's not nearly as wonderful as your garden! but it's a start!

remember the trees in the above pic? our fabo neighbour had to many so he GAVE us 6 trees! we planted them along the sides of the property line and plan on adding more

long shot taken from the deck. the veggie garden in behind the shop, beside the cherry tree...you can also see 3 more trees

i planted lettuce, green beans, peas and carrots. i want to wait and see how they grow to determine what i will add next year

then we hit the park for some play...and nate went right to the dirt pile!

nate had to "go pee in the toilet" and we found a port a pot in the park. chris took him. i won't touch those nasty things in a million years
