shortly after we lost the babe, i started the habit of making lists in my head, on paper or typed. i asked god to show me things accurately. the way they really are. not how i feel or how i perceive a situation. but to show me the real dealio.
i also asked him to help me smile. to get through another day. to be grateful for what i have.
he did and i made lists. it REALLY helped. i found on the worst days, after about 5 things i would feel better
so, today i made my mental list and i thought i would share it with you's
1-fresh, brewed java. bonus-delivered to me in bed
2-mini, silly surprises from chris e.g- a cut apple left on the counter for me
3-giggles of delight from my almost 3 yr old
4-"mommy, i pooped! it's HUGE! come see, it's in the toilet" love that he's toilet trained!
5-opening my window, hearing the birds singing...even in the city!
6-chex mix
7-my millions of pictures. a reminder of the past and how good my life is
8-being able to stay home with my son
9-ice cream
10-true friends
11-fresh air!
12-2 tim's less than 5 mins from my house (my coffee machine is on a break-not broken just a break)
13-a house to clean
14-a husband to clean up after
15-a son who will watch tv while i blog
16- ice cream it deserves to be said again
17-a niece who is due soon!
18-a successful first morning in the nursery!
19- a wonderful, comfy bed
20-that god chose me and loves me ands calls me his own!
