running and rolling

warning. mega amount of pics!

we discovered a new, kicking, wicked park today! a friend told me last night about it and i had to take nate to it this morning. nate had SO much fun! he ran and ran....up and....
down
and back up again
i find at most parks nate will play most of the time in the dirt, trees etc not on the actual park equipment. this park was totally different. he played. and ran. and played. non-stop. the. entire. time
the only other park he has enjoyed was the pooh's park at the magic kingdom. this park was par with pooh
i was in awe of his constant discovery. he was so into this place
i had to snap a pic of his plumbers crack. what is more adorable than a little dude sporting big boy under ware(s)-as nate calls them...esp when they have curious george on the bum
he climbed in the tunnel, put his feet up, closed his eyes and told me he was taking a nap
for 2 seconds....then he was off to discover more
i finally convinced him, after an HOUR to go find the duck pond...again, he ate their bread. not that i blame him, it was delish. i gave him some indian plate bread. yumm
then he spotted the hill and ran up and down...up and down....i was getting tired from watching him!
"i am having so much fun mommy!"
back up
not a care in the world
then i taught him how to roll down a hill. which he loved
"ducks mommy and geese!" (yes, sarah that would be the sweater you gave him in cuba 2 yrs ago...he still wears it)
i finally convinced him after 1 hr and 45 mins to leave to get some lunch...he found 2 more hills to roll down on the way to the parking lot
he told me in the van "that was a super, fun, new park mommy!" and that "i am very, very hungry mommy." i told him we will go home for lunch and he said "and a nap mommy? i am very tired from all that running" ha. he's been sleeping for over an hour now and i haven't heard a peep.
we had such a great time. it is so much fun to forget about life, issues, struggles and such and to go play, run and roll with your child!

I LOVE the pictures! This looks like an incredible park. We can all use a little time to step back and breathe - these are the places I find it is the easiest to do so. :) I would be putting on some old jeans and rolling in the grass with Nate!! He is just too cute!
